h100i and 8350

Hi guys I'm thinking of buying the fx8350 and the h100i.
I'm probably going to push him at 4.8GHz,steady,not much more i think.What temperatures will i get at idle and full mode approximately; Will it toast like a barbeque? Thank you.

If you have reasonable airflow around the MOSFET section then you can certainly try.

You're not gonna be guaranteed a 4.8 overclock on a 8350. They run the silicone lottery like everything else so you might get stuck at 4.6.

Either way the H100i would be a great cooler. I've got a H100 on a pretty heavily overclocked 8150 and it works great. On medium speed it keeps my chip around 60C under OCCT. For 24/7 use I have it set to low speed and its very quiet and I get into the low 40's while gaming.

So my setup works very well and the 8350 runs cooler than the 8150 and the H100i is a better cooler than the H100 so you should get better results than I do.

The H100i will be fine, but why exactly do you want an 8350?

cause at the same price the only think i get is a 3570k
which is not of my concern..i'm planning on something big with this one.
60degrees celcius is too much. custom watercooling should be
the solution to my problem..thank u guys.
