H100 alternative?

I have had to RMA my H100 as it's making a grinding sound and also the mounting bracket was skewed (a common problem it seems). My supplier is telling me that there is a back order (I assume whilst they try and resolve these issues) and I don't know how long it will last.

I feel a bit negative towards this product now so is there an alternative that anyone can recommend or was the H100 the best in its class?

For the price of a H100 might be worth building your own loop if you have a little bit more cash you can put in?

It's a good idea if he doesn't mind doing the work. Found it fun to build my water loop.

Some of the kits aren't much more then the H100 anyway.

I dont mind doing that. I am running 2 non reference GTX680's at the moment so I think I only have 1 GPU water block available to me currently.

Would there be a big difference if I went for an air cooler? Something like http://www.scan.co.uk/products/silver-arrow-extra-dual-tower-cpu-cooler-with-2x-ty-143-supports-lga775-1155-1156-1366-2011-socket ?

It would give me time to save up for a proper water solution.

How about the Antec h20 920? Doesn't seem to be many threads in this forum about it?
