Guys i am a GTA nerd , is .LA. Noire good ?

You can't go around aimlessly killing people like in GTA IV and the main aim of the game (as far as I know) is questioning people and getting to the bottom of crimes. In short I think it would be a pretty boring game.
 
from what i have heard, the storyline is not very long, and extra add-ons cost more than they are worth.

as a comparison, i would say LA Noire is more like the gamplay in the Mafia games, where everything is linear

It's really good, but nothing like GTA. You have to walk around investigating and questioning people, but there are a some shootouts and car chases. It's pretty fun if you fire it up occasionally but it get's boring if you play it too much. So far I've played it 14 hours and i think i'm 2/3 or 3/4 through the game.
 
i was going to buy it but the guy at the Game stores said its not worth it, he ended up returning the game the next day. I watched trailers, it looks good but at the same time boring

If you want a racing game then GRID is still a bunch of fun if you havent got it, there is also Dirt 3 if you like rally games, if you have a 360 then Forza 4 is well worth a look in aswell, I myself cant really recommend NFS Shift at all as it just seems like all the cars turn from the middle of the car as apposed to actually turning... Forza > Shift (ill probably get a bit of shaft for recommending a 360 only game over shift but meh its 100% better IMO)

EDIT: Also if you like F1 ive heard good things about the new F1 2012 game but im not realy into F1 so havent got it so i cant comment about it being any good or not from experience.
 
Grab saints row the third. I didnt think I would like it but i actualy loved it. Its like how GTA used to be ( you know befor they made GTA IV totaly crap)

Its a good laghe, Loads to do. And is genuinly very entertaining. I couldnt stand more than 20 miniutes of GTA IV but i played saints row 3 for hours.
 
Mafia - Mafia II - Saint's Row The Third are all brilliant GTA-esque games. L.A. Noire is a decent game but it can get boring especially if you're only into killing and having a fun time.

edit: also just cause 2
 
L.A. Noire is like Assassins creed, it's fun at first, but then it gets the same over and over and over again.

a mate of mine got a free just cause 2 game on FB from a group called PDXLAN, they were handing out many codes for this game, i tried to get one but was too slow

Its such a good game so is Alan Wake
 
imo you're better off with Saints Row the Third, if it's racing then I personally think F1 2011 is great, Dirt3 too.
