Im not the guy to ask when there's a problem because the people on this forum are like 10000000X more knowledgeable than me, but artifacting like that can be a number of things and the information you have provided is very vague could you provide more information? IE. the specs are and what his settings are, weather or not the GPU has been over clocked how hot the card is, if you provide this information some one clever will be able to help you out like Feronix, TTL or any of the other respected members of OC3D!

That counts me out then! :-P

Seriously though you should include cooler information as poorly mounted waterblocks or malfunctioning coolers can cause this type of issue as well. ..

sapphire HD7790 1GB
FX-6300
Hyper X 8GB DDR3
ASUS M5A78L/USB3 Mobo
Zalman cx5n cooler air
settings only in cod ghost pretty much with any settings
Temps CPU 30-48
GPU 50-odd

Still need more info. Drivers and overclocks and overclocked settings.. memory settings.

Better yet an actual GPU and not just a temperature number...

Neverbackdown isn't the gpu the Sapphire hd7790?

OP has the card got the default cooler on it or has it been customized by the user?
Has the card been overclocked? What version of drivers are being used for the card?

He used the edit button without showing he did..
Didn't bother to supply any more information though..

OP we can't help if you don't help us:unsure:

hi. sorry, was in work, the friend has now joined the forum, (hendrixharvey) card is at stock settings, using up to date drivers, cpu is at stock/default auto boost settings with upgraded cooling,
the cpu has had 4.4ghz oc stable for a while, but is now on stock/boost clocks up to approx 4ghz.

the gpu has for a very short amount of time (due to temps and fan speed/noise) had a small oc of around 50mhz, but this was only as testing, 24/7 oc is stock!

sorry for the lack of info in OP, was kinda rushing to get it on here before going to work,

i built this rig for him about 2 months ago, on EVERY other game there is no glitching, and no artifacts, only cod ghosts. i have said it is prob the game, but i dont have anywhere near he amount of problems he has on my rig (see sig) did at firstm but like every cod game, within a week or 2 of release they finish it!!

It's the game. I wouldn't expect COD to run correctly anyways.. the game engine was created in 1999 if they are reusing it for ghosts.. Says a lot

Hrm, well if it is an auto boost clocks for the cpu it'll be using a butt tonne of extra juice that it doesn't need (its quite normal for AMD chips with boost enabled to up the volts even if they can hit boost clocks on stock volts, especially the lower end 43xxto the 6300) and I don't think 430w bronze is enough to support a 6300 running boost and a mid-low graphics card. It'd be enough I'd do a sweep and install the newest drivers.

Question to barnsley you said "and I don't think 430w bronze is enough to support a 6300 running boost and a mid-low graphics card. It'd be enough I'd do a sweep and install the newest drivers." I'm slightly confused? It would or wouldn't be enough and a sweep? Wow game engine was created in 1999. Crazy... thank for your feedback guys

430w is more than enuff power for a lowend card like that you will be lucky to brake 90w's with that card (its a 85 Watt TDP card)

I did the math on psu requirements when I built the rig, and chose the corsair psu as it 'should' be able to power this rig with ease.

Yep as i sead 430w is fine (i would've picked a xfx 450w over the cx because of a better oem for the same price but there is no problem with power there)

sorted deleted COD

----------------

Redownloaded Ghosts and it's working but even worse I'm uploading to youtube an i will embed a link in a couple of hours (really slow broadband) come on fibre.

tried with beta drivers worked fine then the dreaded BSOD then glitchy again...After multiple BSODS re-install normal driver. Screwed till new driver release gets certified
