im looking for some speakers which are good quality crisp sound, as for use im going to be putting on my tv. so i need something that can be connected to pc xbox blu ray.

price i dont want to spend mega money

Microlabs 7c is £103 on amazon right now, I personally use them for the TV and I think TTL does too... decent speakers for anything really. Good thing about em is it's only a 2.0 set so no extra wires for the sub, but the are massive though so you will need space either side your tv

If you want something a bit more compact (maybe) and a lot cheaper, try the Microlab FC360. They're around £50 and produce a very warm sound, plenty of bass, nice sharp highs. Don't think you can do much better than these at this price point.

....too much wattage im only using it in 1 room not the whole house

No such thing as too much wattage when youre talking audio and sound quality. Extra power doesnt mean louder. It doesnt take a lot of power to make the high pitched stuff really loud. However, it does take a lot of power to make all the intricate little details like wind or subtle sounds in a game or the breath when somebody talks. Those do take more power to reproduce realistically. Yeah its true that more wattage can get louder, but the more power you have, the better sound quality youll have too. Its like a car. Having a V8 with 350 horsepower vs a I4 with 190. You wouldnt say "I dont want the V8 because I wont be driving over 65 mph." All that extra power will make your car faster but itll also make it haul stuff easier or merge onto freeway traffic easier or pass somebody easier or get the hell out of the way when you accidentally pull out in front of somebody. Horsepower doesnt just mean "faster" and high powered amplifiers dont just mean "louder". ;)

+1 for the Solo 7c's mate, I use them on my rig, and they are great, but if you want a regular desk sized speaker try the Behringer ms20'sthey are my old set and for about £80 are bloody awesome, they're another active studio monitor but are very close t the KRK's in sound quality, my mate has the Rokit 8 g3's and there isn't much in it, but a lot in price. http://www.behringer.com/EN/Products/MS20.aspx

Corsair 2500- superb!
Also try the Acoustic Energy Aegos- world class Bose design on the cheap and they still sound weighty and open.
And remember to invest in a decent phono to jack cable- makes a big diff!

My first piece of advice, don't use anything setup in pc world as a benchmark fella..
