good cpu/gpu match?

My system:

i5-3500k @ 4Ghz
8gigs of ddr3 1600. (2 4gig sticks)
OS on SSD
Games on slave HDD
ASUS 6850 stock

I'm thinking of upgrading GPU and PSU if need be. What GPU won't bottleneck my CPU and max games out on my 22" 1680x1050 max res display? I'm thinking 7850 or GTX 660. Could go 7950 but from benchmark reviews it'd be a waste on my display.

Forget about bottlenecks - you are virtually always going to be GPU limited. At that resolution I think both a 660 or 7850 are good matches. If you are planning to upgrade to 1080p then the 7850 has the edge if not then go 660.

As above, both are good gpu's and will work great with your cpu

Thanks for the replies. I went out last night and picked up ASUS 7870 card.

I couldn't resist lol. Microcenter had one returned and I got it at open box price. The ASUS 7870 was only 203.xx USD. Cheaper than a 7850. The OC I got up to on this card scored in furmax a little higher than a stock gtx 670's score.
