Going ATI from Nvidia? (+w7)

Everyone suggest a fresh install?

Really in two minds what to do, got a windows7 download and wondering if i should just use that instead of Vista 64b.

Are GFX drivers fully supported by w7? (probably a question that belongs in the software/OS section)

If you have Windows 7 handy you might as well install it along with the Catalyst 9.5 drivers which have full Windows 7 support.

im going ati soon, and i will defo reinstall vista 64 bit, even a new hd on the way with it

W7 is temping.

I've got two hard disks, one with Vista 64b on, and a spare with vista 32b on (as i was using metaboli a while back) i suppose i could format my spare disk and stick W7 on there and keep Vista dormant for a while.

As above, there's no reason not to dual boot on the same drive if it's done properly; in fact, it's as easy as just partitioning and running the windows 7 setup. I installed off USB and it worked a charm. I'm currently dual booting Vista x64 with win 7, though haven't had enough time to properly play around with it yet.
