Hi wondering if anyone can help.

i have a z370 Auros gaming 7 i am experiencing some high latency. i believe so far this is causing audio issues.

Gigabyte drivers for audio will sound great but microphone will have crackling and sound poor, installing the Creative sound blaster 2 app for it, will make the microphone sound good, but is mostly unresponsive for settings, and will often not start with windows, so you have to close it disconnect mic and headphone input open app, plug in and it will detect them.

This will work for a little while then discord will not pic them up until you restart and repeat the above steps, it might work a little longer, but everything in general feels very laggy, and latency show high spikes for Nvidia driver and dxgkrnl.sys aswell as afd.sys and ntokrnl.sys

Basically having the Realtek driver installed with or without the soundblaster app makes the whole pc lag out and latency goes insane.

Revert to windows drivers the latency issues mostly disappear , everything becomes super responsive again. However this introduces some popping and crackling to sound randomly.

This is my second board. my first one got rma'd for this issue but that one did it much worse and i almost got no sound from the mic at all with the realtek driver installed and there was also lots of crosstalk between mic and system sounds and could create a feedback loop.

Have done lots of troubleshooting prior to my first boards RMA, with windows updates and without, with gigabyte drivers and ones from realtek them self. even changed some windows drivers to some prior drivers some people said cured the issue for them.

There are other people reporting issues on gigabyte US forums. i tried to get help from the gigabyte UK forums but took 2 weeks to be accepted and the only help i got was asking if i had done a clean install when i migrated from my old system.

i have tried to get help from gigabyte them self, but they cant provide me a way to communicate other then the ticket system which takes a week between replies. They said they do not know of any issues and cannot repeat my issue in house and are who advised i RMA the first board.

Surely 2 separate boards cant have the same issue, even if this ones audio works "slightly" better. Trying to find information is really hard, i cant tell if its a windows thing that is conflicting, nvidia's driver, something related to the security patches or what.

Bring in my old C6h and 1700x from my friend and problem goes away completely.

Full system specs.

Windows 10 fully upto date as of this post.

cooler master haf X case

z370 Auros gaming 7

Corsair LPX 3200mhz 16-18-18-18-36 intel optimised ram.

Evga 1080ti FTW3

EVGA G1 650w PSU

WD blue OS SSD 240gb

Seagate barracuda 2TB HDD

Please help, its driving me insane. This is the first gigabyte product i have purchased after trying a new brand, i had always had Asus boards before, and while the issues might not even be caused by gigabyte them self, the lack of customer support is extremely disappointing there is literally no real way to communicate with them, its like they do not care.

How did you test your audio latency?
What is the tools you are using?
What is the driver you are using?
Are you using the driver from their driver CD? or from website?

I have Z370 Aorus Gaming 5 with Realtek audio but I did not get any high latency issue.
I use DPC latency tools to check.
Maybe you would try to check the Realtek 8351 driver to check.
