over 70% of the price on petrol is tax and other fee's going to the goverment for example.

Yeah our petrol isn't quite that bad. Current price atm for premium unleaded is around AUS$1.27 Litre (normally around 90-95c, but thanks to oil issues we are feeling it) I think 45% of that goes to Federal Govt, and the poor petrol station owner gets around 5c litre if he's lucky.

i paid 2.17AUD/litre yeasterday for 95, is the lowest octane sold over here.

premium regular and similar isnt used here, 95 96 98 and 99 is whats sold over here.

when it comes to custom plates, dont think they are extremly expensive but is used very rarely and those that doo tends to chose ridicoulously.
