Think that was a mistake gainward spec sheet says 2880
It's always been Tee, Aye. in the same was as it was ATi back before AMD took over.
But a bit like Tom decided to say obSYdian in the corsair cases (it's obsidian, (sid) not (syd) ), apparently he says Tie now as well. (go figure)
looks supasweet.
more importantly how are we saying Ti.. is it like Tie, or like Tee Aye id vote for Tee Aye, but thats just me.

Ti = Titanium so I suppose it depends on how you pronounce that word.

TI = tis improved, aka better than the last 1![]()
Lol, I actually would like to know where it comes from though
Stands for Titanium. Must have sounded really cool and then all of a sudden the marketing team decided to call it Ti. That is a logical reason imo![]()
But does anyone have a source though? I can't find this on Google.
Like i said, marketing team thought it would sound cool
Okay lol, that makes me think it should be pronounced "Tie" now, but I just can't bring myself to do it xD
On a side note, I guess the Cu in Asus GPUs stands for copper then? I'd not realised that before, but it seems reasonable.
Yes it does. Direct Copper 2. Hence why the pipes are copper(at least i hope they are).
