Futuremark, creators of the popular benchmarks 3DMARK and PCMARK, have been putting the recently unveiled Generation 1 Steam Machines to the test, offering the world's first value and performance comparison between the machines.
At present there at 14 Different Steam Machines from 14 different manufacturers. Many of these machines have hardware configuration and retail prices unveiled but many are still unknown.
The systems benchmark scores are based on 3DMARK Fire Strike on Windows based systems with similar hardware, the higher the score the better the machine. Please note that performance on SteamOS with linus drivers will be different.
Futuremark will be updating their data and benchmark more steam machines as more details are released. Currently their list tell you the 3DMARK Fire Strike scores, CPU/GPU specs, System RAM, Storage, Price and a the comparative value (3DMARK/dollar) of the currently revealed machines.
Currently only 7 Steam Machines have been benchmarked, the data for these is shown below;
So what do you guys think of the Steam Machines? Do you think any of them present good value (certainly not the dual Titan PC)?
