3DMark's New Sky Diver benchmark is available now

Don't not posts results just because of one person who doesn't like it Kap.
It is just a bit of fun, if people don't like it then they can stay out of the threads.

I don't see anyone bragging in the threads on OCUK, not in a serious way anyway and I don't think anyone will do any bragging here either.

The real bragging rights usually go to the people at the top of the Single GPU chart as to get there is a lot more difficult than the multi GPU charts.

As to my cards I won't be posting anymore results so there won't be any problem there.:)

Post away by all means dude I honestly couldn't give 2 hoots, I was simply saying what I have noticed over the years it's always the ones with 3 or 4 cards who start the tables and are on top "Oooh look how much money I spent on electronics" ^_^

I am curious to see your uber scores though :)

You totally misread my post, See the above answer, Really couldn't give 2 shakes of a rats dick who has what scores I was simply stating my observations, Anyway I like seeing Kaaps scores, Lets me dream of 1 day owning a 4 way GPU setup ^_^

I'm thinking a 3DMARK thread would be good for sharing all our benchmark results for each version.

I like running benching threads but it has got nothing to do with what cards I own. Ever since I can remember I have been fascinated by numbers and how different things compare. With the benching threads I get to see how lots of different cards run on different games and benches under different conditions, it also gives me the opportunity to learn loads about the hardware other people use.

Even if I only had a single very basic GPU I would still be just as interested in the above. What having some GPUs available to me helps me do is when a bench thread needs starting I can post plenty of results to get it up and running. I am running a Sky Diver bench thread on another forum but where it is quite popular I have not had to post that many results to get it up and running.:)

Spoil sport :(.

I'd be interested to have seen what Tom could have done with the dual 295x2s .. now that would be the ultimate e-peen.

4 Hawaii GPUs are not that good on this bench as the CPU bottlenecks them and they actually score less than 3 GPUs.

Crazy fun result

I used the default settings but increased the resolution to 2560 x 1600 in the custom settings (twice the pixels the bench normally uses).

Score 0

AMD Radeon R9 290X(4x) @1210/1500

Intel Core i7-4930K @4.8

Graphics Score 99644

Physics Score 18211

Combined Score 25512

Benching threads are fun when you have a lower end setup, its always rewarding to see your cheaper rig beating something that cost alot more than it.

I was thinking maybe having a general points leaderboard and a overclocking performance gains leaderboard where we record % points gain. Might make a good thread.

It's a great idea, how are you going to manage validations though? after all we don't want people cheating

That's the question, any ideas? There is always screenshots or links to the 3dmark score, don't think we can do any better than that.

Just how far Back do we go, do we just do the most recent or do we try 11 and vantage too? But I think that would be too much effort.

I think the most popular benches like those used in the OC3D reviews.. Firestrike, Unigine, Cinebench ect ect.. Screenshots are a bit hit and miss especially with people having pretty good Photosoup skills, although links and official validations would work.

Just for a laugh then, here is what I achieved on AM2 Overkill...

6186 with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 760(2x) and AMD Athlon 64 X2 Processor 5200+
Graphics Score 20879
Physics Score 1609
Combined Score 3077

Yeah, i think we will just stick to online validation then.

how about; Vantage P score, 11 P score, Sky Diver score and Fire Strike P score.

Stick to the P-scores so that all the free users can have a go, though we could try a Xtreme version later if there is interest.

and now we wait for Kaapstad

The idea is that highest score doesn't matter but THEM GAINS.

Also the use of % gains could give an advantage to lower end configs, I'm really interested in seeing how it goes.

All depends how you use the hardware.

Here is a couple of Valley benches I did @1600p, one stock and one overclocked.

I am glad you have got your thread up and running though.:)

I'll be on it when I get back Monday :) Unclocked and Overclocked.. maybe even throw in some undervolting...
