Free mmorpg

Whats the best you can recommend for me?

I hate repetitive "farming" of monsters where you have to kill the same one over and over just to get up one level

I hate really bad lag

I like simple and pretty easy but still with depth if you get me

I can't think of any truely free MMORPG that's any good... Even some crappy arse 2dish ones u have to pay for. If you wanna do it right, just get a real MMORPG and pay for it. WoW or EQ2 for the win, been playing a bit of both lately. I find EQ2 is a much more advanced game, in both the gameplay and graphics department, that would be my choice.

I kinda wanna get GuildWars because u dont have to pay monthly but i want to get into the mmorpg kinda... all i play is fps lol.

Not MMO but Neverwinter Nights is loads and loads of fun on the interweb. I used to play on a 56k and it was even playable then. NWN2 is out soon(ish) too.

Ewch @ the choices >.<

There are a good handful of eastern-style free mmorpg, the likes of Silkroad - but, they are hugely hard to even log into and very laggy. Obviously not for u. They tend to be `nice` but basic graphically.

The likes of WoW and others mentioned above, frankly, look nice, but trudge somewhere along the line. Not for u as u don`t like the kill 19999 mobs to level etc. (which is the basis for most)

WoW is nice and glossy, but bored the living crap out of me tbh.

RFOnline both looked `nice` and played well, but for me it failed in one major respect. I like a challenge - but in this game u merely need to be a handfull of levels higher than 50 chars to kill them all very easily.

Best one I`ve played in the last 8 years has been Legend of Mir2, but I played that too long and the challenge evaporated.

There are a band of newer ones hitting the scene atm, Archlord, D&D and so on - I`ve beta`d them and not been impressed. D&D to be fair plays well for what it is, it`s just not my style - very enter a dungeon in a style sorta thing. The Archlords and Ferentus were tbh very basic both graphically and playingwize.

Supercommander I don`t know much about, but is in my beta list to go and try out, along with Spellborn, Lotr and something else that skips the mind, maybe Warhammer - they all look nice, but I`ve learnt not to let that fool me. Time will tell.

Nothing of any consequence for myself is worth a try outside of beta. Maybe u can try out some betas ??

EDIT: I`m trying to remember this fps one that`s coming out for beta in Q4 this year/next year... looks incredible, and is like playing a regular fps with 1000s of ppl.. ugh..

10$ = 100 PED (project entropia dollars)

you can put money into the game whenever you want

you can take money out the game whenever you want

There's also a game called Flyff out there (stands for Fly For Fun), supposed to be decent. In order to buy items, you use real money, but you can earn these items just by playing the game. Also an amusing 2D side-scrolling one I've recently started playing is MapleStory. It's decent, nothing real special though

I used to play Helbreath 24/7 back in the early stages of development when it was free, but when they announced they were going to start charging monthly for it I fled, very fast. It was a great free MMO, but the second they made it subscription it was no longer worth it at all.

I know some people that play Runescape which you play online. Its 2D. Thats about all I know because I didn't get into detail about what the game entails with them.

GAH! Not runescape lol. I quite liked knight online until the bugs glitches and lag...i mean come on! you go forwards ten metres then you appear back 8 metres away, its rediculous and part of the reason i stopped playing silkroad online too. i also tried anarchy online but the lag and complexity of all the stuff you have to do made me quit that too. Although i did like the style of knight online and silkroad if there are similiar games

yea, silkroad is a good game..... but it laggs like crazy. knightonline is the same.

ive got guild wars but i wasnt that impressed with it, When i get some cash, i gte buy WoW or FF or something similear.

WoW is a fun game, bought it awhile ago and am hooked on it. Mind you it hasn't taken over my life yet which is good and I still play my others games as well
