Ewch @ the choices >.<
There are a good handful of eastern-style free mmorpg, the likes of Silkroad - but, they are hugely hard to even log into and very laggy. Obviously not for u. They tend to be `nice` but basic graphically.
The likes of WoW and others mentioned above, frankly, look nice, but trudge somewhere along the line. Not for u as u don`t like the kill 19999 mobs to level etc. (which is the basis for most)
WoW is nice and glossy, but bored the living crap out of me tbh.
RFOnline both looked `nice` and played well, but for me it failed in one major respect. I like a challenge - but in this game u merely need to be a handfull of levels higher than 50 chars to kill them all very easily.
Best one I`ve played in the last 8 years has been Legend of Mir2, but I played that too long and the challenge evaporated.
There are a band of newer ones hitting the scene atm, Archlord, D&D and so on - I`ve beta`d them and not been impressed. D&D to be fair plays well for what it is, it`s just not my style - very enter a dungeon in a style sorta thing. The Archlords and Ferentus were tbh very basic both graphically and playingwize.
Supercommander I don`t know much about, but is in my beta list to go and try out, along with Spellborn, Lotr and something else that skips the mind, maybe Warhammer - they all look nice, but I`ve learnt not to let that fool me. Time will tell.
Nothing of any consequence for myself is worth a try outside of beta. Maybe u can try out some betas ??
EDIT: I`m trying to remember this fps one that`s coming out for beta in Q4 this year/next year... looks incredible, and is like playing a regular fps with 1000s of ppl.. ugh..
