Great job Josh.
The system is going along great. Beside moving the drives, I changed the acrylic window to a glass window. A mate that owns a glass shop had a piece of safety glass almost the right size and he sold it to me for just $4.00 US. He had a left over piece from a large project that was nearly the right size, just had to trim an inch or two on it. I mounted it with some 3M 4010 double sided tape. I've seen where some professional modders use it, some mates swear by it and I have used it on other things. Never have had it fail.
I'm back to overclocked to 4.2 which it handles very well. In the shipping the battery was knocked loose and the BIOS had reset, removing the work Tom had done. I had used the Easy Tune 6 Gigabyte software, but it was going about it wrong and raising the temps. Going in the BIOS and redoing it as Tom had was the right way. I have read on-line of some others having issues with that software.
I wanted to get my old system folding, but right now it is dead. We have had a lot going on around here...mum was in the ER (emergency Room), I was then in the ER, my oldest bro with cancer was doing great, but getting very weak now, I have had a lot of tests done (eyes, stress test, regular 6 month check), all is okay with me, my mum is due an upgrade (10 years on her pacemaker, new pacemaker time) so taking her for a lot of check-ups, plumbing backed up so had that fixed, car needs some plumbing, my car has developed a power steering pump leak and it goes on and on. Now that the weather is FINALLY breaking and warming, I can buy the pump and fix that myself, it is easy to get to...$35.00 US...$200.00+ to pay a garage to do it...screw that. Getting the old system back in order has not been a priority, just when I'm ready to work on it something new happens, so now I'm afraid to touch it.
