Makes perfect sense, Generally in England there is a huge lack of pride, Ergo bend over for the people that hate and despise you.

A lot of the people I went to school with are of middle eastern decent and they generally think Europeans are dirt, Weak with no pride and everything I'm seeing in England is just proving them right.

To be honest there isn't much to be proud about. Again, it depends where in the country you go to as to who sees who as what. Most of my friends who are "middle easten decent" don't really see anyone except loonies as dirt.

Also, I'd arguably say that patriotism (not to be confused with nationalism) is kinda more common then people think, the 2012 Olympics were an excellent example of tame patriotism that England does so well. Please explain weak with no pride?

Well I'm just repeating what I've seen and heard from others to be honest, Personally I couldn't give 2 hoots which school teaches what language as long as the education is good

Look how many wars and how much violence there has been throughout history between jews, muslims, sheikhs, pagans, christians etc etc. The crusades for a start, look how many people were killed and how many battles fought due to Christians fighting their "holy war" and proclaiming land in the name of the lord. Around 23,500,000 people or more were killed during the crusades. WW2 and the holocaust, 6,000,000 estimated Jews killed between 1945-1946.
Terrorism is fuelled by religion, they may be extremists but their religion is what drives them to do what they do. Without Islam there would never have been a 9/11 or a 7/11.

Without religion the world would have been and would be a better place. I'm sure people would find something else to fight over other than religion but without it there wouldn't have been less wars and death.

I'm thinking that Firaxis Games got it right here.

Being from Northern Ireland I know how much religion can muck things up, this could have been a place where both Irish and British culture could be celebrated.

Then politicians made unionism and republicanism a Protestant Catholic thing (which are both Christian sects), which made what could have been a nice place into a place of hatred, needless conflict and terrorists on both sides.

While Northern Ireland isn't too bad compared to what is was or some other nations are now, the fact a riot or bomb scare doesn't even come as a surprise to me anymore is pretty bad.

People always find a reason for war, religion is abused to justify it. The point of religion is to give people a code to live by so they don't kill each other, but people still manage to interpret things in a way so they can justify violence.

Bacon is the one thing i find hard to give up! I don't eat much pork etc... Bacon i managed to say no to, for about 2 years but the bacon and brie just kept calling my name...

Desperately try and keep my Dad away from media sources like this, he believes just about anything he reads in printed format, it's a friggin' nightmare. We always argue about it because I know it's all horse shit but he just thinks if it's printed it's gospel..
