oh i did that once with a netbook, the AC adapter was broken so we took the entire thing apart and soldered the cable directly to it. those little ribbons are annoying but it's not that hard to get them back in.

its more the unclipping the keyboard cover thats hard, I tried to remove it tbh and only managed to unclip one corner, then it started to flex and I wasn't sure I wanted to ruin a 2 week old laptop, so I put it back and now I'll take it to scan for them to fit it.

oh yea i can feel your pain. that netbook wasn't mine and was already a couple years old, so i had no constraints when ripping it apart (to be honest one of the clips broke, but it didn't really affect anything). still i wouldn't want to pay any technician money for working on my laptop because most technicians do a half arsed job and charge mad money.

-.- I know dat feel and I hate it tbh, but if I break it I end up with a very expensive paperweight and if he breaks it I get a new laptop, and tbh scan technicians are quite trustworthy, some of them are pure dumbfucks but there are quite a few of them I would trust, I wouldn't trust any of them touching my main pc though, I love it way too much haha :P

tbh, I will make the technician check it before I hand it to him, to see that everything works and that there are no scratches, I will check it again once I get it back, I will pluck out his eyebrows if there is a single hair on my baby :)

Sorted this guys, went to scan and the technician I found was kind enough to do it immediately, he even cloned my old hard drive free of charge, saved me a headache with keys and stuff like that.

props to the scan technician guy dude :P

Waited over a month to wait for the furniture i want to come back in stock, then find out they don't ship to where i live after i organize courier by myself. So now im stuck with no furniture until i can find somewhere that ships here and doesn't make furniture out of cardboard *cough* argos. Also everywhere else local is stupid money that i probably wont afford even when im working full time. Also i had parents evening tonight which contributes to FML when you get the old "you're not good enough talk" even though i have never failed an exam in my life. But new day tomorrow i suppose.

and to add to this, 5 weeks ago I ordered a case for my nexus 7 which never made it here, I had it refunded today and bought another one from the uk, hope it arrives by the beginning of next week...

My mum got some rather worrying and bad news today and she is now going to be out of work for a while.

She has had some rather really strong pains causing her to miss work, she normally works a 40 hour week in manual labour and the doctors have told her that they have found some growths, and that she has to go for more tests etc and if they confirm there suspicions then she will need a few op's.

I now have to pick up the loss of her wages which I am more than happy to do as her health is the most important thing on my mind.

Will be finding out soon what sort of percentage cost I will need to pay to use Bupa, as I get it for free at work but I will need to pay a percentage of the fee as it's a family member.

So my graphics card upgrade money will be getting spent on a much worthier cause.

My AX750 was brutally murdered. my mom was cleaning around and got water on the back of my pc, one loud bang and it was over. holy hell i've never been that frightened, i thought the entire rig was gone, but my good ol' trooper the AX750 gave its life to save my rig. i shook it afterwards and a bunch of stuff fell out, oh dear. one minute of silence please.
RM750 ordered.

RIP

It had to be done...

Sorry to hear that pal, I hope she's okay!

My Mum has just had cancer not so long ago, she had the growth removed so is now just having check-ups every six months. She had her first a few weeks ago and had to take another biopsy but she's safe. She's not been to well since though so isn't completely out of hospital yet.

It's scary, my ex girlfriends Dad had it, my Sisters, fiancés Dad has just found out he has it, my boss has had it, two people down my road have had it, two friends Mum has had it. It really is scary how common it is! there is probably more if I think hard enough about it.

The not knowing is the part that is doing my head in and the rest of the families.

Thanks for the kind words though and I hope your mum is ok in the future.

Just to make matters worse of me on a personal level, my 680's have practically died with massive amounts of graphic corruption when playing games or running benchmarks.

Have done 2 fresh installs of windows today, various different drivers etc and still I get graphics corruption as soon as I load anything that pushes the cards, they are fine when just browsing but anything else and they just artifact all over the screen.

I think I might have messed up when I put the blocks on them :(

F*ck's sake.

I used to have a cold for a reaaally long time and when I didn't use nasal spray regularly I literally couldn't breath through my nose. Went to the doc half a year a go, he said the spray could work addictively, told me to get different spray from the pharmacy, bla bla bla.

Now, 4 months later I suddenly get a €130,- bill for the little bottles of nasal spray that apparently cost €20,- each. I even got a discount cause I got more than 5. Wohooow -_-

Oh yeah, and that was just on top of the €100,- I pay monthly just to HAVE insurance. Now I'm just sat here wondering why I even have that if they make me pay for everything myself anyway.

Would've been nice if at least someone had told me that it would cost me a shit tonne of money (FYI: I'm an 18 year old student, so for me it's a lot).
