First Watercooling loop help.

This would be my first watercooling loop just for my CPU and I am wanting help with a few things if possible.

1) Are these parts I have chosen fine?

2) what 240mm radiator would you peeps recommend in the top of a Corsair 650D with a single set of fans?

and finally

3)what cpu block would you recommend for me? I'm waiting till ivy for this loop so I think it uses the 1155 socket correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not looking to spend a great deal of money to be honest its just for looks mainly. Any changes can be made are welcome

If it is for looks then most rads should do although depending on fan speeds

lowerish an xspc rs240 (with some akasa apache black edition fans to keep in with the colour scheme?)

higher GT stealth black ice 240 (some gentle typhoons 1850's?)

I think that it will use 1155 socket but have a chipset all it's own far as i remember so it will fit a SB board but not all it;s features will be unlocked?(pci-e 3.0 ect)

maybe a little extra hose with it being first loop, allow for mistakes I redid my first loop 3 times so far lol.

For a radiator I would go with a alphacool ut 60 240mm rad. They are made completely of copper and brass and they work really well with low rpm fans.

As for the block goes I really do like the XSPC Raystorm, here in the us I spent 50 bucks on my block. It is one of the best bang for your buck you can get for a cpu block.

Depends what motherboard he got? Like tom said on 650D review if your motherboard have large mosfet heatsink you will run into a problems with 60mm rads. So what motherboard you have Poynter? If you have a large mosfet heatsink I will recommend to go for hardwareLabs SR1 240 is 54mm rad so will fit fine.

For tubing I will go for Primochill Primoflex Pro LRT 1/2"ID-3/4"OD with compression fittings (EK one are good and not to expensive).

For the cpu block go for EK Supreme HF(with new retention plate it perform better than Raystorm, not for much, but its little bit cheaper), but if you like looks of Raystorm better than go for Raystorm.

And dont buy this res from koolance, its WAY TO expensive!!! Go for EK Bay 5.25" Single Bay Reservoir, or for Alphacool Delrin 5.25" Single Bay Res. They cost less than half price for koolance one.

It's for a plan I'm doing for a future Ivy upgrade so I don't know what motherboard I would use, so lest say worst case scenario it does have a large mosfet heatsink. also updated the tubing to what you have suggested

Well they also make a 40mm thick rad which should fit in just about anything nowadays.

Go for as thick rad as you can dude. I just had a look at some z77 boards and if you go for sabertoothz77 you shouldnt have a problem because the mosfet heatsink finishing on the same level as ram slots, so problably you will be able to fit 60mm rad. But not 100% sure(only about85%

).
