First watercooling build (need advice)

This is my first water cooling build so I would like to check with you guys for advice.

Parts:

- XSPC Raystorm intel Cpu block

- EK 6970 V2 (white/nickel)

- XSPC Dual bay reservoir + 750Lph pump (need advice on this, would really like the pump inside of the res.)

- Black ice GT stealth 240mm rad (advice!)

- Feser blue uv Tubing 3/8ID - 1/2OD

- Feser blue uv coolant

- Bitspower or EK compression fittings 3/8ID - 1/2OD

- Scythe gentle typhoons x4 In push-pull

Recommended to me by Reeper250:

Koolance PMP 450 pump (Laing D5) -

XSPC Acrylic Dual 5.25" Bay Res (for Laing D5 pump) -

XSPC RayStorm -

Black Ice GTS 360 XFlow -

EK FC6970 V2 Acetal + EN Nickel

Primoflex 1/2" OD UV Blue Tubing

Primochill Liquid Utopia Additive

Distilled Water - Local Chemist

Bitspower fittings (please include right angle and 45 degree fittings to make tubing straight. Straighter tubing results in higher flow.)

I could fit a thicker rad if I don't use push-pull, would this be a better option than the skinny 30mm rad WITH push-pull?

So I'd just fit 2 fans in pull on the 60mm rad.

ALL advice is very welcome since this is my first build !

thanks guys.

To add to your options you can mount a slim 360 RAD in push OR pull, the front I/O gets i the way of adding a third fan above the main body so you have to mount the fans within the main body. That is what I have done.

I'm not really in the position to recommend parts as I've only just started water-cooling but when I made a similar thread I was told the dual bey RES/pump and the Raystorm were good options, again that's what I went with.

Scythe GTs are brilliant, I have the 1850s and they were so quiet for the speed they were going.

Could you post any pics of that 360 rad in your case ? Im assuming you have a phantom. And I guess if it works I could put 4 fans in push pull and 1 fan in push on a 360? Couldn't hurt I'm guessing.

So the question remains ; which would be the best performing setup?

240 thin rad pushpull

240 thick rad pull

320 thin rad pushpull -1

Thanks, that makes it way clearer. So I'm guessing the rad fittings are on the back of the case, since the rad overlaps a 5,25" bay ?

That way I would have a lot of dead tube that goes from the rad -> 5,25" bay res.

A solution would be a crossflow rad, which would make my tubings as short as possible.

Black Ice GT stealth 360 Black

Probably a proper choice.

Yeah fittings are at the back.

The longer stretch of tubing doesn't look too bad, follow the link in my sig and go to page 2 post 34, there's a picture of the loop there. It's the tube back that looks worst but if you're running a GPU in the loop then it'd be better.
