First time water cooling advice

I plan to be running a core i7 3770k and a GTX670 in a seeled loop. Currently plan to use an EK CoolStream RAD XTX 240 and an EK CoolStream RAD XTX 360 as my radators with EK blocks on both CPU and GPU and not sure of what pump(s) and reservoir to use. What fittings would you recommend?

All of this will be going into a Highly modded Coolermaster Elite 334 NVIDIA Edition that I have lying around (unless the modding goes wrong in which case it will probably end up in a switch 810).

Thanks in advance for any and all help and advice.

I recomend D5 with an aftermarket top ,

( since you will run 2 rads and 2 blocks , your loop is pretty restrictif so you need a pump with good headpresseure , the ddc has better headpressure but less flow rate then the d5 , thats why i would use an aftermarket top to increase the head pressure and the look on the D5 )

For fitting choice i would go with 13/19 mm compression fittings

Reservoir wise if you dont have much space in your case use a bay res .

Cheers Mate !

Hey guys,

I'm planning a very similar build:
NZXT Switch 810
EK-Supremacy CPU Water Block -CSQ
EK-CoolStream RAD XTX (240) floor mounted - Push + Pull with SP120 fans
EK-CoolStream RAD XTX (360) roof mounted - Pull with SP120 fans
OR
EK-CoolStream RAD XT (360) roof mounted - Push + Pull with SP120 fans

Now for the problem..... the metal plate just underneath the optical drive back will interfere with airflow if you mount EK-CoolStream RAD XTX (360) with push + pull.
I intend to install the pull fans underneath the top cover.

How would the performance difference be between a 45mm thick XT Rad with a push + pull config vs 64mm thick XTX rad with only a push or pull config?

Does the XTX rad require push + pull for optimal performance?

Many thanks,

Niel

Your best bet would be to go with either a D5 or a good DDC pump from a trusted name. For fittings I would recommend buying good quality fittings up front of you will be buying a new set soon. Bitspower make the best fittings money can buy imo. The most important thing is to buy something that will look good in your build and fit with your theme.
