Fiio e5 vs Fiio e11?

Hi,
I had a Fiio e5 for the past year and it has recently broke, and I don't known if I should get another one or buy a Fiio e11. I want to know which one has better and deeper bass, also which one has a higher gain. Would refer to get a reply from someone who has had experience with both of them and knows what they're talking about :)
It will be powering my Sony MDR-XB800's.
Thanks, Paul.

It's very unlikely someone on here will have tried both of them to be honest.

Both are just headphone amps, whilst most people looking for one on a PC forum would be looking to use it on their PCs (and so would probably would want DAC capabilities too).

What device are you using these on? A PC? iPod?

The E11 will be able to provide more power to the headphones, and so if you want a more powerful bass, that would be better than the E5. But, spending £55 on an amp for mid-range, low impedance headphones is a little mad in my eyes.

Thanks for replying :) and Ill be using it with my phone (samsung galaxy s2) and my Pc, and the reason I want an amp is because im used to the extra power from an amp and much prefer it over the bad output from my phone. And again thanks for the reply.

Well, it's still going to be bad output from your phone. You'll only be amplifying a poor quality signal - but if you've already been using an E5 then you'll know how it sounds.

Do you have a soundcard in the PC?

Saddly not yet. But Im going to get a Creative Sound Recon card or possibly a slightly higher end card, the only thing stopping me is some money problems at the moment.

Why not get the E07K/E7 then?

You can use that as an external soundcard as well due to the built in DAC - and it will work as a standalone amp on your phone?

Just don't buy a Recon3d.
