I'm not sure whether to get PES or FIFA again this year :(

Been playing PES09 for a while but everyone says FIFA is much better.

I was going to get FIFA10 on PS3 today as it was £25 instore but can't find it for that price anywhere now :(

Anyone know cheapest place to get it?

Also is it worth getting?

Only thing which I don't like about it from playing the demo is the graphics as they seem blurry and pretty poor :( (on PS3)

Might end up waiting and getting PES10 this year altho online on PES09 was pretty poor :(

Fifa 10 imo.

It was £25 for the opening week so they it is more appealing to people who are still playing Fifa 09. Now you will find it at the standard price.

fifa 10 has alot of bugs with the online team thing (clubs i think its called) if the other team quit out none of your goals count and the game counts as a loss for both sides if i heard my mates correct while they were raging in the xbox live party chat,

so if your not going to be playing online much then fifa 10, only played it breefly but i prefer it for 09 for sure

I might continue playing the demo for a while and see if the price goes down.

Finding the controls are taking ages to get used to after playing PES :(

imo i thort fifa 10 was abit of a let down, had it for a week and then gave it back to my m8 and was not impressed, how ever having played the pes2010 demo it doesnt seem that bad. Although tht might be due to them cutting so much stuff out to make it a suitable demo size it still lacked the typical pro evo play promissed. When it come to it, if pro is how the demo was then fifa wins hands down:)

You can change the Fifa controls to get very close to PES controls mate :)

I was a massive PES fan for years, but Fifa 08, 09 and 10 are just leaps and bounds ahead of PES. Makes me a little sad, but I'm not even buying PES this year (bought it then sold it last year).

Fifa is superior in every element of the game now

Fifa 10 the same as Fifa 9, with some facepaint, name changes ??

It has those, sure they all do. It also has 360° movement, passing, shooting etc and better physics. Deffo worth it over 09.

Cool :)

I will keep an eye out for some offers then :D

Was playing PES2009 last night and just getting frustrated with the way 70% of the opposing team are stood in the penalty area blocking every shot within seconds.

Or players running into eachother etc :(

One thing I did notice on fifa tho is my players who are running ahead get fouled when they don't have ball and the ref does nothing :(

I haven't noticed that in Fifa. for more advanced players though, the running off the ball (both manual sending players and just AI), is far superior to PES.

Not tempted to buy Fifa 10 yet, I got my 3rd Season Swansea side battling in the Premiership with Tevez up front. Don't wana throw it away for minor changes and slightly better gfx.

Fifa 09 is still good and the only reason I got it was because it fixed minor annoying bugs that Fifa 08 had!

Nah man, 360° control makes the game feel much smoother!

Makes them look like ****s.

With the long strides and the stupid stances for free-kicks and corners.

Only thing I really like is how loose the ball is in the game. No longer does it feel like it is part of the player.

A ball isn't part of a player is it? The changes make the game feel far more realistic.

I don't think they look any different tbh, but the 360° control is far far superior to 09

I also like the way you have to actually play football in 10, rather than simply 'wiggling' around everyone.

Exactly.

In previous games, the ball always seemed to go in a straight line, for the exact same distance making it feel static, and if someone tackled the player the ball would just start to stop almost instantaneously. But in Fifa 10, if the player was sprinting with the ball and gets tackled, the ball would continue rolling further away which makes it realistic. Of course 360 degrees turning helps too.

I have had many instances in Fifa 10 where the player would leave the ball behind if he tripped (yes it can happen).

What really hacks me off though is that the PC version is a clone of last years Fifa.

They say that 360 degrees turning is now added but you need a controller to do so.

Ironically, the X360 gamepad isn't compatible yet. :p
