All of the above has led to members pulling their team affiliation with EPUK, which is no longer top 20 material in global overclocking world and has in fact alienated a lot of people already - maybe this was inevitable, the actions over the last 24hours has certainly been a catalyst.

Actually...we're still top 20 at the mo, but if the guys start pulling their scores, EP-UK is ****ed. We were actually 19th first thing this morning- S.O.T. had another mini-push.

@ Marci.... thanks for the info.

I think if anyone were to pull their scores because the location of the forum has changed would be selfish to say the least. OC3D doesnt want any control over the benchmarking team whatsoever. You will be (as mentioned countless times already) accommodated and provided for as best we can. We want the EP-UK team to stay as the EP-UK team and have already said we will do everything we can to both keep you as a team AND assist you as best we can.

The current situation is obviously not desirable but really.... is a day or two that much to ask to get things to a stage youre happy before people go pulling their hwbot scores - at the end of the day they would be pulling them from EP, not from OC3D

Edit: Actually does anyone want to explain the HWBot system fully? I fancy a bit of that action and it would make more sense to me to add any advantage I can provide to an already flourishing team.

haha wont get rid of me that easy - i need you lot :p

seriously ep-uk guys, stick around, you will learn what a nice bunch we are! :D

you even have your own section :D

it will all be sorted soon enough - dont jump offboard yet :D

No it wasn't. I'd already said it would be hosted free of charge. The members had all donated to cover domain names (afaik), and when that time came round they'd have donated again. I'd volunteered to deal with maintenance of the forum backend. In short, EP-UK was standing on it's own two feet and was in no risk... the same was offered to PCLincs.co.uk when they were in a similar position, and that forum is still operating. The members donate regularly to cover any incurred costs (of which there aren't any other than to renew the forum software license).

Tis all very bizarre.

That really isn't something that we have an answer for. Obviously at the end of the day the forum was Phil's "baby" and he decided it's fate.

Some people will undoubtedly leave, some people will see it an an opportunity. Whatever they choose we'll support them the best we can.

End of the day, Phil knew what was going on and it was his responsibility to the members/admin/mods to communicate the changes.

I sympathise with EP members but :oc3d: didn't do anything wrong...

Your anger/frustration needs to be directed to the person responsible, imo.

Hey guys welcome to the forums :) Hope this a long lasting on going relationship, and hope you all stick around :)

I'm sure you will all settle in fine.

The bots are linked to forum and thread ID so they wont update yet, we need a team admin to reset the forum and thread ID which I can't do atm as I seem to have been removed from our bots team.

sacha, you might want to speak to some of the other guy: K404, Boards etc as there's something you probably don't know yet that may well change your mind. I cant say just yet as we want to put together a proper announcement.

sorry mate its to late sorry, i am now part of another UK forum, which will just be hard core UK bencher's.

Hope all works out well as said and i will pop in from time to time to say hi.

Ahh I understand, you want to stay with EP-UK, but can't wait more than one day to see what happens?

EP-UK is just hard core benchers from what I heard, and we have arranged something to keep everyone together...

Don't get me wrong, I think this move has potential and I look forward to seeing what transpires over the next few days but:

With all due respect, responding to someones post like that isn't going to win you any friends is it?

That sounds like you are belittling EP-UK. As has been said already, the EPUK forum was in no danger of falling apart after they all chipped in for hosting costs. In fact, as was pointed out to me, the forum was picking up again.

It sounds like you are calling the EP-UK members ungrateful for something they ultimatly had no say in.
