Do it. DO IT NAO!

New addition to the desk...Just got to wait a few days for the water to settle, come up to temperature and for the anti-chlorine and trace metal remover to do their business and I can get some fish, hopefully friday/ saturday... Not very PC related, but it sits on my battlestation so I thought I'd share it with you all.

Nice res, but where are the tubes?

you could run one or two of your tubes through the water in that tank, and warm it up for the fishies, and cool your liquid

(i know it wont really work with just the tubes, unless you have like a rad or something submerged)

i'm thinking of buying an aqarium, anny tip for a noob on this?

Not really dude, I just got a Fluval 23 Litre starter kit, all I had to add was the gravel, stones, heater and plants oh and fish in a few days. I paid about £100 for it in total so its very cheap to get started. (fish will be about £20-30). Me and my dad used to be into it and has a load of Cichlids that did really well, but that was a huge tank 5-6 times bigger than this one. I just want a few fish (3 or 4) a pleco and some shrimp. Should be epic.

Just a little updat with some acrylic I've been cutting for some blanking panels. First up, the side of the 5 1/4" drive bay looks a tad messy, just due to the mount holes etc, and as I'm only using a single bay for the fan controller and perhaps a DVD drive, I can cover them up and use the mouting system from the other side, the side you can see!

I had a little idea with the front bezel cover. I'm thinking about getting the project name engraved on a piece of acrylic, see below. I can paint the acrylic to match the cover of the case and have a plain, clear piece of acrylic behind it and a strip of LED's to light up the engraved text, I think if I do it subtly the effect will look pretty nice, I've just got to see how much engraving will be, hopefully its not silly money, or if someone on here can do it hit me up!

This is the clear part, I can use some 3M mounting tape, as with the 5 1/4" bay shroud as you wont see it from inside the case.

I also needed to make a blanking plate for the top, the case comes with a PSU mounting plate and a grill cover, but I think it looks a bit poo, so I made a solid infill panel.

Been playing with Sketch-Up and I've started on a fan grill design incorporating bevelled edges, like you guys suggested. Let me know what you think.
