Elite: Dangerous getting Multiplayer ships and an Avatar creator

Multicrew ships sound awesome. Does this mean we can have a pilot and someone else on weapons at the same time?

yeah, one person can be a gunner while the other pilots etc. there is even an option to launch a little fighter from a main ship.

Small quote from the article.

"You’ll be able to share and alternate control of weapons systems, turrets and flight duties to multiply your effectiveness. Even to the extent of piloting a ship-launched fighter and working in combination with the mothership. It’ll be especially useful in some of the very large trading ships coming in season two."

Well this peaks my interest, OC3D Crew :D

I wanna be the Navigation Officer :D

I claim being the the Chief Engineering officer, just so long as Engineers don't have to wear red shirts.

Ah, I only read alternate controls, which made it seem like not simultaneously in my mind :p

Elite Dangerous just keep getting better and better if they keep it up they will be soon at what sc is promising

Come on Sub, give us an exclusive interview. :P

hehe you have no idea the hoops I'd have to jump through to get that :P And the approval my answers would need to go through too :) I'm just best keeping my mouth shut and keep saying "ermergerd its gerna be AERSERM!" :D Because it is! :D

Thats gonna be awesome :) cant wait to play it gotta haul my ass back to controlled space as im light years out exploring.

Should get a few mil for this run.

Ha i dont mind being a trading captain, only worth about 20-25 mil cant remember wonder how much the bigger ships will be and i hope they bigger ships have a docking method for smaller stations like a tube to come out and lock with the side of the ship. Or be able to drop of modules like O2 canisters or something which they would nto just be able to make.

Can't wait till Horizons comes out in the winter! We really need to setup an Elite group that plays on weekends or something:p

+1 for this but I guess time zones will be a factor.

I run a python, saving towards an Anaconda. First million is the hardest. After that it's way easier. Type 6 and a Vulture is a good combo. One for trade and one for fighting when you're bored running the trade routes.

Just don't noob it like I did and lose a Type 9 with full cargo and left about $300k short of my insurance replacement... Always keep money aside for insurance!

I just bought a Diamondback scout.. thing is sooooo agile! I'm just going to resource sights now and collecting bounites, but trying to find more ways to make it more enjoyable gaming exp instead of hunting AI.. not really into exploring and not much money in it anymore

Yeah I'm Combat Master, Trading Entrepreneur and Explorer - Mostly Noob. I don't think I've been more than 200ly from where I started! And that was just to buy a discounted ship at Founders.

Scouts are agile - but no match for Beam Turrets ;) Since the last update there are a lot less High Intensity Resource sites (and a lot less action at them) so that's a shame. There was some very good money to be made at those.

Haven't come across a lot of other players out there - I think that's why they're announcing things like the Gold rush at so and so system this week. To get everyone to the same systems. Or maybe I'm just in the wrong place and the wrong time zone.

Of course there are people - and I've done it myself - who will trade in the relative safety of Solo mode until they build up a decent defensive capability. Horizons looks good. Really wanted the lifetime pass but the Aussie dollar crashed at the wrong time!

Yeah suspected that would be an issue. It's either too early for Europe or too late for North America. The only problem with living in the future

When I take some holidays I'll be able to put in a few all nighters and see what's happening in the real world.

Im running an orange Asp right now, yes im sad i bought paint lol ...

Im kitted out for long range jumps and silly fuel fills, got about half way to the core of the milky way scanning on the way. Then got a little bored so im playing an hour a day or so till i get home to put all my stuff in.
Doing jumps of 35LY plus is taking ages still lol :)

Im up for flying together.

If you have money for an asp i do reccomend it but you do have to spend serious cash to kit it out.

I think in total mine is worth 16mil, for exploration however for best combat it is closer to 28mil... ;) my front lasers are gimbled and 2 mil a pop.

Also as a trader it has a huge hold and can land at small outposts which is great for quick 100-350k runs :)

I
am
ready.

Add me. B N3GATIVE or B NEGATIVE....cant remember.....currently rolling an A spec FDL tho
