Ducting mod stuff

Is there a product out there that u can buy in a plyable sheet, mold to whatever shape ur after, and then apply an apoxy/liquid that`ll toughen it afterwards ?

Thinking perhaps not in the pc-case mod game, but maybe in car-mod/repair.

Want to fashion some custom ducting, nothing too thick or heavy.

Maybe check out a company called PolyForm.

Only two things spring to mind, fibreglass kit (wear gloves (glass splinters are dreadful) and mask for gods sake) - you get a sheet of fibreglass wool which you put over something the shape you want and paint a resin onto it. Very messy but can take high heats and is nice and strong.

The second is something i've seen someone my dad worked with do which was pour two parts of an epoxy glue (cant remember which but they called it death glue - for reasons you can guess) onto two pieces of cling film and stick them in the fridge, making them fairly thick and pliable. He then took one sheet and shaped it over some wood resin side up and once he was happy put the other sheet over it hardener side down. No idea whether he was able to retrieve the cling film but having hit bits of that glue with a sledge hammer I can say that even after a 90mph head on collision, you'll still have your bit of ducting.

Searching PolyForm, I came up with this, that sounds ideal.

However 1 thing to think of is that if it goes over 62/65°C it becomes pliable->almost like hot-wax-glue soft.

I know it`s highly unlikely in this day`n`age to go 60+ without there being a hardware problem, but if it were to happen u`d have a mass of gluey stuff on ur mobo >.<

Wonder if I could do a molding and back it up with reflective thermal tape or similar.

Sounds like a risk factor.
