Different lables on Mach 2 GT compressors?

On reading up on a few reviews of the Mach 2 GT's I have found that the lables on the compressors differ from one unit to another.

Some of the lables are green and state the numbers nf9fx "5933" and NF9FX in the top left hand corner, the others are yellow and state "6900" and NL11F on the left. Both units say that that use r134s gas which is strange as I thought that the Mach 2 GT run on 404 gas. Does anyone know the reason for the different lables?

I think the green are newer ones, as mine was old and had the yellow...

R134a is the old standard gas, they can be re-gassed with 404a, or R507 usually.

Most poeple agree that R507 is the better gas to use for various reasons, one is something to do with not having to have the fans at maximum.

They are labelled r134a because that is the gas meant to be used in them, r404a and r507 are regasses.

The US Machs use the NF9FX compressor as it is a 115V 60Hz compressor.

The EU Machs use the NL11F compressor as it is a 220V 50Hz compressor.

Thanks for clearing that up:wink:

So even tough they sa r134a they are in fact using 404 gas?

It does seem that way ;)

The compressors normal use is in home white goods, they are re-gassed for our purposes :D

My unit came badge direct from phil that way - Danfoss ship em out with r134 printed on em.

Although the gas is changed to 404a I think there is some sort of issue (CE Certification or other EU gratifying script) that prevents ECT from changing the label without incurring a massive cost (re-certifying the compressor or similar) - nowt tto worry about just brussels bureaucrats flexing there judgemental muscles.
