DFI LANParty for Core 2 Duo?

So is DFI working on a LANParty board for C2D chips or are they just going to rock the Infinity series?

I would hope they have something in the works for hardcore enthusiasts of the C2D. It's been a while since DFI has released a good Intel board though, maybe things will change.

LANParty nForce 5 SLI anyone? :)

Yeah ditto to that Frag :yumyum: They deffo have been quiet...pity. I'm sure they have something in the pipeline, it's not like DFI to rest on their laurels.

I did hear a while back that they had no plans to relase a Lanparty board on the Intel chipset. This doesn't mean of course that you won't see it on other chipsets :p

They are working on a board as we speak but no idea when it'll be released. Their infinity board isnt that good aswell :(

Yeah that's why I'm totally hoping for a lanparty board.

I thinks for the chipset 975 is the intel Bad Axe is the best you can have 3 PCI-Express 16x, Overclocking (Higher Stability) and for the chipset 965 is Asus And Gigabytes

Agreed that the BadAxe is a tear ass board, I just don't like the fact that it requires hard mods to perform at its very peak. But modded out, is pretty much untouchable.

The board that Jim has been testing is very nice though, 490fsb is pretty crazyness.

Hard mod? Like getting out the soldering iron? If that is what you mean, I'm not up to that - don't have the knowledge/skill.

Out of interest - what kind of results do these hard mods give using the BadAxe?

Yeah, it means you have to make physical modifications to the motherboard. The mods for the BadAxe that I know of are mainly vdimm and vcore mods to allow voltage adjustments to the cpu and memory. I don't think the board has BIOS options for modifying those factors.

The hard mods on the BadAxe basically allow that board to be the best overclocking board for the E6600 and higher line of C2D's to unlock their beastly potential. The platform of the BadAxe is superb, but Intel doesn't usually incorporate any good clocking features in the BIOS.

The DFI mobo got a bit of a mixed review, sweet stock performance, limited BIOS tweaking... Enough for me though, well almost enough lol.

Any indications of prices/release dates?
