Gibbo has just confirmed, all three flavours of the DFI boards have hit customs today. Will be availabe on OcUK tomorrow (wednesday) or the day after, with more than enough to fill preorders.

Wooohoooo so we should see some nice benches well done I am gonna wait a bit me i am cos i cant afford nowt

I need to find a way to watercool two 6800GT's  Not sure if the spacing between the PCIe slots will be the same on the DFI as the ASUS, I know the ASUS has quite a bit of space between them.

i wouldnt run anything in parralell if you can help it dude, try for everything in series. High flow will easily be better than the theory of cooler water to both blocks.

Id use 2 silverprop HL blocks, best blocks you can get.....should be a way of fitting 2 in sli tubing wise, and im sure the HL shouldnt be to tall either, but count on that, will need to do some reading up first

I don't really know about the running of in series as opposed to parallel, but those blocks would fit easily if the barbs weren't positioned the way they are. Which is a shame. You could get different blocks and DangerDen have a new Maze4 GPU to fit the GF6 cards which would be ideal, and give a pelt option.

BTW is that your rig Nick? The wiring is pretty impressively bundled together. Good work.

EDIT: Ok maybe not, they do have an SLI version out soon though which is smaller to fit certain motherboards, but will probably rule out a pelt option without the ASUS styled spacing between the PCIe x16 slots.

I wish it was but unfortunately that isn't my rig and I'm not sure whose it is. I'm a little worried about airflow on the ram with SLI is I don't go for the nv68 block. About running in series would it really be a problem? I will be using a danger den res and thermochill 120.3 rad for definate. I already have an eheim 1250 but am thinking of getting one of those 12v pumps that runs off your PSU and maybe getting a 850W pc power and cooling PSU and sell my 510W one. If I did that I guess I could get two 12v pumps - one for each graphics card but I'm not sure how I would do the tubing to the res

By the way does anyone konw how loud the new 850W from pc power and cooling will be?

EDIT: Just to make it clear I'll only be watercooling the graphic cards not the cpu or northbridge.

ah, so they are arriving very soon, gunner have to preorder a DFI SL-DR then ;) Ive got a MSI Neo4 Plat SLI here but its dead, dunno how, but it just went before I even got a cpu in there. DOA. Take that back and order my self a DFI :D

What is the difference between the DFI LANPARTY nF4 SLI-DR and the UT SLI board?

Is it worth the price difference? Also anyone know if overclockersUK 1-3 day is accurate? Also whats the deal about the 24pin connector? Will the standard pc power & cooling 510 run it ok?

I saw a thread on DFI Forums that A_G was going to check that DFI wouldn't support 20-pin ATX PSUs, even with a convertor as they thought it would just create issues and they said it would be better to invest in a 24-pin ATX PSU as it would ensure optimum stability. However I never saw the actual answer if there was any, and I cannot find the thread on the forum now. So your guess is as good as mine. Ask Phil if he'll do a trade for the SLI version of the PSU instead.

DFI released a statement concerning the psu issue..

All the new DFI NF4 based motherboards support both 20-pin and 24-pin

power supplies. It is recommended that a higher wattage power supply

with the 24-pin connector be used for utmost stability. Combined with

the onboard power regulating components and the flexible BIOS options,

these new DFI boards can deliver performance without compromising

stability!

Best regards,

thanks for the replies. Yeah It's annoying as (even though I bought the PSU back in August) I've never used it. I can't see Phil being up for traiding it in for the SLI model.

I might try and sell it and either buy the 510W SLI one or perhaps even the 850W one. How much power do you think I'll need for two raptor drives, 2 optical drives, 1 floppy, fx55 heavily overclocked, 2 6800GT overclocked, 1 pump, mobo, loads of fans, GT control thingy, MO LCD display, few usb devices. Would that lot be getting a bit close for the 510W version? I want to be on the safe side and not have to upgrade the PSU that soon. What do you think? Also I'd like to change the fan on the pc power&cooling PSU's for a quieter one - does anyone have any advice on this or what fan these PSU's use?

Thanks.
