Right, well my pretty much brand new PC has just bit the dust. Was running fine, turned it off to change some BIOS settings and it wouldnt even post.
Took sound card out, reset BIOS: nothing
Took 1 mem stick out, reset BIOS: nothing
Took out everything other than essentials: nothing
Tried with no memory at all: warning beeps
Tried other graphics card which is probably dead: wouldnt even do the first P5B fake startup
Multimeter on PSU: everything fine (not measured 3v)
Motherboard fan headers putting out 12v and mobo light coming on
Power on with CMOS on clear, put back: nothing
Tried all DIMM slots: nothing
Think thats everything tried. The downstairs PC once did the exact same thing and it turned out to be the HDD but i'm assuming that is due to Dells funky BIOS' (nevertheless ill go try). Basically I'm out of ideas, especially considering the randomness of the failure. I expect it is the graphics card but I can't rule anything else out at this moment in time
