What I'd do to get my hands on a machine like that. That is, if luck doesn't befall upon me and I don't end up winning that or one of the other great prizes. |3

hehe thanks mate :)

still not sure where to add my PC pics and specs to competition. Do i just post it all in this thread?

You just have to fill the entry form on the main page post here- http://www.overclock3d.net/reviews/audio/custom_corsair_christmas_compo/1 and you're all set, don't need to do anything else.

But yeah, your PC looks beast :)

PS. You have to be online in the forums when the competition closes at 14/01/2013 - 20:00 GMT

EDIT: I just noticed I misread your first post, sorry about that. That's what happens when you stay up late :(

Just scroll to the top of this page and click the FORUM tab just underneath the OC3D logo
Then scroll down to the RIG GALLERY section and start a new thread of your rig
Dont forget to add your PCs specs to YOUR thread post

Im giving you all a little sneaky peak at a competition that will be going live soon. Im sure you are all aware that my heart has always been in custom rigs and looking for ways to do things differently.

Well I gave an Artist friend of mine a Corsair 600T and told him I wanted random/abstract. We decided on a design and here is the photos I have just been sent, its been done already!

Looks like a storm trooper. Like it!
Also, what if you have a sibling or friend that lives in your house who enters the contest using the same internet... Will they get disqualified for having the same ip?
:)

I had a spare few minutes so I wrote a step-by-step guide to creating a scheduled task for logging on to the forum for the competition. It might be useful for people that are away from the computer or for people like me that have become forgetful due to excessive alcohol consumption.

For whatever reason you might not be able to be around to log in to the OC3D forums in time for the competition. Task Scheduler can take all the bother out of that. Here's how:

1. Log in to the OC3D forums with your username and password. Make sure you check the "Remember Me" box or this won't work.

2. Run Task Scheduler (see image below):

3. Next you'll need to create a task:

4. You should see the window below.

5. Give your task a name. In this example I called mine "Log in to OC3D forum"

6. The only option you need to change is the one at the bottom "Configure for:". I changed it to Windows 7, Windows Server 2008 R2.*This might not need to be changed but you may as well do it if you're running Windows 7*

7. Click the "Triggers" tab.

8. Click "New".

9. The competition ends at 20:00 hours (8pm) GMT on the 14th January (Click HERE for a time difference calculator). In this example I wanted to log on an hour before the competition ends, so I entered 19:00 (7pm).

10. Make sure "Enabled" is ticked. Click OK.

11. Click the "Actions" tab

12. Click "New"

13. Choose the action "Start a program" from the dropdown menu.

14. In the Program/script field you need to enter the address of your browser. I'm using Chrome so the address for me is:

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe"

(if you browse to the location the quotation marks are added for you but you'll need to type them if you're inputting the address manually). If you're using a browser other than Chrome you'll need to find out the address of your browsers .exe file.

15. In the "Add arguments" field enter the url for the OC3D forum. I wanted to go straight to the competition page so I entered:

http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=48345

16. Click OK

That's it. You'll obviously have to keep your PC on for this to work (unless you want to remotely boot your system).

You might want to test that everything is working for you by entering a trigger time a couple of minutes ahead of your current time. If you've done everything correctly the compo page on the OC3D forum should open at the specified time.

Good luck for the competition and I hope I win ;)
