Is there a difference between being online (leaving the tab open and do something else) and being active?

I had the same issue originally. I stopped when I received the warning. I usually have emails in a pending folder to avoid harassing people. I seemed to have missed placement or I didn't get a confirmation. Oh well, the message advising me I'd be disqualified if I continue is now my confirmation.
