Custom Corsair Christmas Compo

I'd just like to say that I have no need whatsoever to win this prize.

My computer is an absolute weapon. Skynet, HAL & SAL 9000, Johnny Five, Icarus, GERTY 3000 and even WALL-E ain't got sh*t on my machine. I'm telling you, if The Matrix was real (which it is), there's only one place it would run, and that's in my PC (and that's where it does run... to prove it, the next video Tom makes, watch for me adjusting The Matrix to give him an ample pair of breasts at the 2 minute mark).

So all you people boo-hooing about your computers, just stop, as even if you do win this prize, it will still be hilariously inferior to my whoop-whoop.

Thank you for your attention.

Tom, Any chance of a rule that the winner had to have made a positive and constructive contribution to OC3D before the date of the first post? Website traffic is great, but it's pointless if they're just gonna enter and bugger off. Perhaps telling any new users to integrate into the community here and wait (and i'm sure it won't be long) for the next great comp?

Just a thought and would stop all of these pointless generic posts filling everyones inbox.

I don't think he'll look on any more favourably to doing the exact opposite either. A winner will most likely be random!

I'm guessing one of the things this competition is meant to accomplish, is to bring more attention, and more users to OC3D, so alienating all newer members would probably not be a good idea. :)

I can see where your coming from, but as a new member (who plans on staying and contributing after the compo ends) i can say, that i would be very diappointed in such a decission, and it would most likely take away some, if not all of my motivation to contribute continuely. Iv'e been lurking in the shadows for some time, but this compo is what pushed me to become a full member, so why on earth should i be excluded?

I get where you are coming from but we cant force people to do stuff like that. I do the comps for traffic no matter where it comes from. Once people have the prize if they do a runner thats up to them. Just have to hope the winner does hang about.

Duggy won a few years back and he contributed so much he is now admin.

just want to say awesome rig and i want to thank tom for teaching us noobs so much on his youtube channel, thanks for all the hard work you have put in over the years i know i have learned a lot by watching your channel.

I say it looks to be inspired by star trek, the next generation. :)

This is a computerpanel used in star trek tng. ;)

I have been looking for a new case for my rig lately(been ogling the 600T), but mabey now i have the chance to win a whole new rig.

As said before - and what better way to boost contribution from a member- if not when just have won one of these great prizes?
There will always be leechers who most likely will be here for the comp and never utter another word in this community again. Its like on torrent-sites, some share- some leech. Anyhooooo - Guess Tom/OC3D/Sponsors will have the final say - and thus far its announced open for forum members only.
For Tom and all OC3D-crew I hope this comp gets crowned with the succes of all 9,5K (?) members participating!

All fair points guys, was just a suggestion :) I personally couldn't care if i win or loose, I'm currently building my new rig, but don't good me wrong i could easily make use of the Corsair machine!

I'm just about the community on the site. I used to run a gaming forum about creating a community that you could commonly play with and 'know' every person in an online FPS or a similar group game. We once held a comp, and although we got many new users, 99% of them we heard nothing from again.

May the luckyest man win!

I gotta be honest and say I am a member but I like to mostly read whats going on and the reviews, I don't say much as usually searching finds what I want lol.

But I visit probably at least twice a week if not more but that is how I read quite a few forums... Mmo Champ, Passionford and Scoobynet.. Don't think I have over 100 posts all together in the last 5 years of reading forums

Guys guys guys, if you haven't seen the build yet, go watch it on youtube. I'm still wiping the coffee stained drool from my keyboard.

same here.. like to think of myself as a ninja lurker

reality im much less cool

still working on my main rig and im not one for a build log done via access on my phone... that being said i have gone from popping in once a week to every day recently.... wonder why! lol

How unusual to give out a fully built rig
Probably would still have gotten shed loads of wishful thinkers like me joining even if the competition were for the individual parts as separate prizes
