Custom Corsair Christmas Compo

Good luck everyone!

There is no point in trying denying it, but I really hope I win this. It's time to get rid of this old E8400 rig, didn't help much when a technician bent my motherboard's socket and pins, I have been having overheating problems and stuttering ever since, worst part is, the parts are no longer under warranty.

At least, I know a pro built this machine and it's a beast, once again, thanks for the competition Tom. :)

Good luck everyone! I've been drooling with the ASUS GTX 670 and Maximus Formula, oh and it's powered by Corsair! This beast is my Christmas wish :)
 
I'd love to win this so that my old man can have a newer PC. If you want a sob story too how about this one :P

We both bought those hideous Nvidia ROG 680i chipset mobos, which failed epically. They burnt out cpus and everything. After 4 replacements each from the retailer we were told to deal with it via the manufacturer directly.. Being a noob to this sort of problem I should have asked for a full refund there and then, but decided I wanted to get this sorted. So the manufacturer repaired each motherboard 4 times each again, every single one having the dreaded CPU INIT problem. Spoke to the MD of the company, who replaced both with 780i mobos.. Which were just as rubbish. Ended up having around 22 motherboards. The last one to come back was bent in three places, had push pins not put through to the back of the mobo and looked dirty and used.

After 2 years ended up around £1000 out of pocket. Consumer Direct were useless telling me to go back to the retailer after telling them the manufacturer replaced the original products. Now that I know what to do with faulty stuff this'll never happen again but it took 4 years of saving for me to buy the PC in my signature. My old mans PC is a really poor single PCI-E Dual Core job and he really needs a cool new PC :P

So one of us would get this lovely looking gaming rig (which one will depend on who can beat whom in a battle of wits) lol

Entered, hope I win so I can get my BF3 fix in. Since I bought the wife Lego, Lord of the Rings, I have been banned from my Xbox BF3 evenings! :huh:

Well the cASUS has finally come, to put in your INTEL and hope that you win. No one knows the FORMULA to success, or the FORCE that is required. But some will go through 600Tears before achieving DOMINATOR PLATINUM status. H100i will try, but in the end, there will be but 1 victor. One CORSAIR to claim the prize, and GTX670 others who can only AXcept the result. :D
 
Just entered the compo!

I had no idea this community existed. I had been using another popular overclockers site & forum, thinking it was the only option out there. I'm so glad to have found this forum. Can't wait to make some vids and take some pics of my own building attempts!

I've found this forum in youtube, when I was searching for pc reviews channel. Been trying to register since I read about the competition a couple of weeks ago (since only forum members are allowed to join) but haven't been successful coz my IP Address has been blocked and identified as a spammer. Thanks to the help of the tech support from this site, I was able to register and now I have finally entered the competition. ;-) I know it's a long shot but It's worth the hassle of registering ;-) Good luck to everyone! ;-)
