Crysis Problem

when i run crysis the game loads and plays fine; kinda .. first of all it wont let me do miltiplayer and in singleplayer i can hardly see anything (most of the screen and surroundings goes black and i cant see objects or enimies) ... its better on DX9 BUT still doesnt run properly and still shows black

you can find my specs in my sig ... what could be the problem ???

Try it with all the setting set to the minimal they can go, including the resolution. Turn every effect off.

It`ll look a bit crappy, but u`ll know if it inherently works or not.

How hot is your GPU?

ive tried it with everything on low and the only res i can choose is 800x600 and all effetcs were off...

GPU is idleing at 42-42 degrees .... not sure about when its working hard

sorted my problem now

the problem was the latest driver that i installed .. even though it was the newest one for the 8 series it focused more on the 8800 joint with crysis. i found a link supplying the driver just below it .. installed it and now crysis runs fine on DX10 with medium settings havent tried any higher

I dash through Crysis with all settings maxed except for AA (think it`s AA) @ 1680x1050 on the 8800gt, runs really well once it loads the initial screen

Stick the AA thingy on and u can forget it.

another problem now .. well it has happened since i got it

when i try to connect to an online server it tells me that the server authentication has failed. this happens on every server i try

any tips ?

Maybe you could try a punkbuster update.

ive only got windows firewall and that is allowing it through ..

Well, just to negate it completely, try switching off windows firewall and try it.

U can always turn it back on moments later.

I don't think windows firewall is the problem.

You should try and install the v1.2 patch if you haven't done so.
