Ok I just got 2 6870 in crossfire, they work brilliant in benchmarks like unigine heaven benchmark, 3dmark11 but in any games I have tried thats crisis, crisis warhead and napoleon total war and some other games I see no performance difference with crossfire on or off. In afterburner the usage and fan speed don’t even move. What I don’t get is why it works in benches but not in games. Power is no problem I have a cm silent pro gold 1000w. And I have reinstalled drivers both the one in the cd and 10.12 off the web. Please please can you help me.

and this the 3dmark11 score

WORKING:crossfire is working with mafia 2, arma 2 operation arrowhead, civilization 5, black ops, tropico 3 very well

NOT WORKING:crossfire is not working with crysis, crysis warhead, bad company 2

@PCTwin in crysis there is no option unless i am missing something

Hi

There might be an enable tripple buffering option in the AMD Control Pannel 3D settings. if your using V Sync switch it on because it helps V Sync. This helps for my Crysis games. See if you can optimise other settings. What is the GPU usage result in Crysis? Has AMD released a driver since the 6870 was released?

Thanks

second gpu was not doing anything in crysis the usage was 0 it was bascially idling. v sync was off. an ia musing 10.12 tried the origional cd and that made no difference.

it looks like all my games that are working with crossfire are on steam

:/ sad result ofc. i googled: amd 10.12 driver problems. Found there are problems, i didn't find a fix. i see its a new driver :/ look at this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jD-lHWPh_MM

Read the uploaders description. maby there's a profile/user/config file or summin thats not being deleted, i dunno

i don't like messin with system files, i don't know alot about AMD drivers, so in your shoes, find a proper fix or wait for AMD's next driver.

EVGA gives SLI patches for their users to use until Nvidia releases the next driver. Maby you can get similar stuff for the AMD hardware

Tbh I think it's AMD's drivers conflicting with certain game engines. They've had problems with Bad Company 2 since it launched back in March. Crossfire on my system has never worked properly either in most games. I've spent days on end messing with stuff trying to get crossfire to show a decent amount of performance gain in games and nothing. I even put in a support ticket to XFX about crossfire not working, and they couldn't help me resolve it either. I'm running 2 5870's, but not for much longer.

I solved it, don’t know why but crossfire is only working when games are in full screen mode and the games that I listed as not working where all running in windowed mode. Thanks for all your help.
