i have an intel e2180 running @ 2.62ghz max. so i cant put it higher and i think iam bottlenecking my graphic card(Palit Nvidia 9800gt) i saw guys that makes this cpu run @ 3.6ghz so why cant i put it higher?(i have Gigabyte GA-945GCMX-S2 Motherboard)

What's your fsb speed and multiplier? Voltages used?

I'd attempt to get to 3 Ghz first, try 300 fsb, 10 multi and bump up the cpu pll voltage a couple of steps (depending on what you currently have it at!)

I have a feeling if you want to clock your going to need a new motherboard. the 945 chipset wasn't designed to run with Core architecture chips, and the board is likly to be limited in bios options. I'll dig though GBs site and come back with some concrete evidance or some settings to change.

Edit: ok the boads got some rudimentary (sp?) options. Your first port of call should be here. The options are all stored under the 'Frequency/Voltage Control' page of your BIOS.
