Could someone recommend me a graphics card for new system?

I am still not sure exactly what vid card you have but the cord plugs into the psu i will get a picture in a few moments of how mine looks i just happen to have one downstairs so give me 10 min and i can get a pic unless someone else can, i am horrible at directions

Now this is just weird! I've got my tower and have installed xp and now installing virus software... tried to play some music though n the speakers aren't working!!

I never installed any drivers in my old pc, just attached the speakers into the green port and they worked fine.......... only they aren't on this comp....... it says no devices detected!!! ARRGGHH!

Any ideas? Sorry to post here but atleast you guys know what system and stuff I've got. Going to install the graphics card later but want to get this bloody sound thing sorted first!!

Go to VIA's site and download the motherboard drivers that are meant for the chipset. Should have LAN, SB and audio drivers

Couldn't find them on ATI site so went to PC chips who make the motherboard. Am downloading any drivers above v1.3 as they are provided on the cd. Sound one is currently downloading so will post back as soon as its finished (taking forever though!)

Will install the 6800 drivers in a bit (93.something) and then install the card. Wish me luck!!

oh yeah, not sure if the tower has anything to do with it but my monitor is making unusual noises, kinda screeching whenever it moves............. any ideas???

To my page file I have it set at 3.072 because windows recomended me something like a page file of 2048-3072. when windows keeps resizing your page file with usage it can fragment your HD over time, hense why i have it on a seperate partition. It isnt that important, but tbh i have the space to spare a 4gb partition so why the hell not, just my personal preferance.
