It's always nice to have a new baby in the family and Corsair's Obsidian case lineup is no different. As usual, we give it the OC3D once over to see how the new kid in town deals with its competition.

glad to see the doctors were around to deliver this tiny lil package from its mother.
thanks for the video review in all its TTL style!

Good review again from TTL but the link in the written review needs changed as it is currently the one for the Titan waterblock fitting.

I was considering getting this case but after seeing the internals I think I will give it a miss as doing so would require a new MB. Also it is a bit more expensive than I was expecting it to be when I saw it at $100-110.

This is going to be my next case, as long as nothing better comes up in the next month or so that is. Or if I decide to stick to the ATX form factor, which I doubt I will TBH.
Surprised on the 7/10 for price though, i'd have given it an 8/10. Personally, I thinks it's worth the extra £20, but each to their own.

Good written review also, Josh :D I had to look twice when I saw your name on the review, was expecting it to be Tom.

Hah! Thanks for pointing that out. This is the first article i've submitted and everything's all new and confusing. Should all be fixed now.

He's giving me a shedload of help still, but thankyou for the kind words - i'm getting there, albeit slowly :)

Cheers for the review guys..

How was Iron man Tom?

Edit. Man the scope for this thing is just awesome..

I tell you what I'd like to do with it... Put in a decent motherboard then use a H100 in the roof and then fit my 670s and use a Antec Kuhler 920 mod on each with both rads in the front.

Really like this case.

As much as I 'want' a 900D , because its just so epic, this case actually does everything I would ever need , for a lot less money, weight and space.

But then again so would a bitfenix prodigy.

The front page article is more of a container for the video than an actual review. But Josh has done a good job of what he could do with the info he had.

Youll be seeing more stuff like this on the front page from Josh now. This is also the first front page item thats been posted from anyone else but me for years!

TTL said you would probably not need the AX1200i in this case. That instantly made me think about putting a 3970x on a Rampage iv gene, together with a couple of Ares IIs. Just put the radiators in the front and you are ready to go. :P

Yup they're the same rads as the Kuhler 920...

But Quadfire? Brave... Very brave.

@tinytomlogan: without cutting the bottom of the case... if I put the PSU vertical in the fron do you think I could fit a MSI Big Bang Xpower II in the 350D?

I Know it sounds crazy xD I was going to buy the 900D but it may look too empty as I won´t be water cooling for now and the 350D price tag is so tempting that.. I may mod it and switch to the 900D when I get the rads and so on (how knows when...)

i know that every1 is able to do business and advertising, but just like gameplanet ratings and any other gaming web page, there's no such thing as a 10 for price and 9 for performance, and that's with games, with computers, im thinking the higher is going to get is a 7 for the price and a 6 for performance, i believe a lot of people here can imagine what can be put over there to upgrade that, or modify the case, in short i do not believe in anything that says 10-8

Since you're not comparing it, is a weird score, is it better than the pc im building ?
For sure.........
Will that make it a 10 ? i doubt it, comparing both, sure a 10 while my pc is hardly a 4 for me LOL

my legit claim, ill wait 1 year and maybe buy it, that's gonna make that price a 20

Another great review Tom! Love watch your videos (no h0m0). :D So when is Case Labs sending you an S3 for a proper comparison? I've been following a few S3 builds on overclock.net and it's a sweet looking little rig.
