Corsair 750D Black & White Transplant Rig

So, finally after weeks of problems building this rig and pretty much going through about 10 iterations of the waterloop setup and finding suitable parts I have finally finished the transplant! (Many thanks to S_I_N and paulstung for your help)

I decided not to do a full build/project log as this rig is pretty much the same as my 540 Air rig build.

System specs:

Corsair Obsidian 750D
Intel i5 4670K OC to 4.2Ghz (vcore 1.275v)
Asus Maximus VI Formula
16GB Corsair Dominator Platinum @2133mhz
2x EVGA GTX 780Ti Superclocked SLI
Corsair AX760 PSU
Corsair Force LS 120GB SSD
Corsair Force 3 480GB SSD
Western Digital 2TB Green HDD

Watercooling Loop Specs:

XSPC RayStorm CPU Block
2x XSPC Full Cover Razor GTX 780Ti block
EK Waterblocks EK-CoolStream RAD XTC 420
EK Waterblocks EK-CoolStream RAD XTC 280
5x Akasa Apache Black Super Silent 140mm Fan
XSPC Nylon Dual 5.25 Bay Reservoir w/D5 V2 Pump

XSPC 7/16 ID White tubing
XSPC - EC6 Non Conductive Coolant - Clear (2 1/2 Litres)

Getting the rad in the top was a real squeeze and the fans fitted in with no room to spare, which was good/lucky!

Loop order is:

Bay res/pump -> motherboard crosschill -> CPU -> 420 Rad -> Secondary Pump -> GPU -> GPU -> 280 Rad -> Bay res/pump

I'm really happy with the temps.

Under full load with fans at about 1100rpm.
GPU's - 42-44C - 1hr Heaven Benchmark
CPU - 65C - OCCT linpack 90% memload

Idle with fans at about 600rpm. (current room temp 18C)
GPU's - 22C
CPU - 32C

Jobs to do:
-I'd like to tidy up the cables a bit more. I want to get them nice and flat like I've seen them in some other rigs but not sure how it's done.
-I may replace the piece of black tube going from the top rad to the second pump. I didn't have enough white tubing at the time of the build so used a bit of black but I kind of like how it's almost invisible
-A bit more messing about with lighting. Currently only have one strip in the roof.

Really nice pics! I really want to do a black/white wc loop... but this is just fantastic because I think it can be hard to make tubing look this neat

Yeah I'm not totally happy with that. Like I said I'd like to get them nice and flat but I dunno how people get then like that? Is there a clip/clamp that will hold it in place?

Those cable combs are known to break very easily. Maybe try lacing the cables or bringing them in from the bottom like Shaw's 9ine04 http://forum.overclock3d.net/showthread.php?t=59308&page=1

Yeah I might give that a go and see how it looks. The Corsair GPU cables are quite hard to get looking line and tidy as the ones I'm using are the 8 & 6+2. With 780Ti's only needing 8pin & 6pin the extra 2pins are just lying about, getting in the way. I might look into cutting them off to tidy everything up.

So... erm... I didn't realise that the Corsair braided cables came with some individual PCI-E cables, whoops! :/

I've completely re-done the the cables to the GPU's and completely removed the the 2 extra pins on 2 sets of the cables so I'm left with 1x8pin & 1x6pin.

I think it's looking a lot better than it did. I don't really want to use them comb things as they look a bit flimsy.

That looks much better.. I should start mine at some point, as i'm using the original cables which come with Corsair PSU, and not the individual braided cables. Can't justify spending £60 on individual cables when i'll only be using the ATX and PCIe cables so the rest will go to waste.. and i also don't want to mod the original cables.. so bit of a catch22

i went with putting in the extra bit of work and laced my cables, i would recommend it.

Yea it was easy enough for me but I have seen people done it with ones coming out the side and it looked really good.

Problem is, my PSU is the digital variant.. AXi and not the AX series, and as far as i'm aware, the separate kits are not compatible with each other.

I believe that the only difference is the 24 pin ATX cable, but I have a place to check the pin-outs so will check and report back.
