Hey guys just built a new pc running an i5 2500K for my friend. He's using the stock cooler but his temps are getting around 40 idle and 70-80c Load. So he needs a new cooler but hes only got £30 so I need a good cooler for the price so far I have found the Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo. So can you guys recommend better or should he spend more.

One of the best air coolers on the market is the NH D14. They cost around £60.

I have heard good things about the 212 evo, so if you friend doesn't have the money for the D14 I would recommend the 212 evo.

if he's going to overclock it higher than 4.0 -4,2 ghz he will need a more efficient cooler .
if not then cm master 212 is a great choice ;)

Well thanks for the help guys I have ordered the CM 212 now and from the research I did last night the benchmarks and reviews were crystal clear saying its outstanding cooler for the price point. My friend wont be overclocking (probably doesn't even know what overclocking is) its just for gaming.
