college firewall/proxy...blocking everything

well.. last year the only thing we were miffed about was not gettin youtube or other similiar not education sites (obviously all illegal stuff...most would be blocked) but we had ebay, amazon, play.com and namely this site.

it seems they have blocked all forums...even this one...and also blocked anything to do with shopping - so we cant browse for products (when researching..obviously not buying - honest!)

even our tutor's personal site is blocked (he was going to host a load of stuff work related there)

they better listen to our complaints miss oc3d

Surely you can get around the proxy by using a proxy yourself?

I used this site for a list of proxy's!

They block anything with word 'Proxy' in it too. Or did in my collage.

What happened to the OC3D proxy? Or was that the SX days...

Your best bet is probably to try out an anonymous proxy server.

webproxy.pro or hidemyass.com are what I use for the few sites I can't access at my college.
