No money? No problem.

Thank you everyone for the lovely comments. Fingers crossed Amazon get off their bums and deliver the replacement Dremel tomorrow (it should have arrived today) and I can get on with the last part of the mod and then I can post more pictures!!

On a related note, and this goes mostly to the forum veterans, can anyone help me get in touch with MSI about some of the Gaming Series case badges, the kind they send out with new motherboards with the dragon on them.

I've tried through the MSI customer care thing on these forums, I tried on the UK FB page, the US FB page and the German FB page and so far the only response I've had was the UK peeps telling me to ask the German peeps and I've had no more responses from anyone :( If anyone can help, just send me a message on here if you can, I would be ever so grateful.

Nicely done sir . Goes to show even on a small budget you can turn out something very eye catching . I for one doth my cap to you sir .

A little update:

A few days ago I thought my modding had come to a crashing halt with the apparent death of my PSU, but thanks to common sense telling me to check the power strip and the wall socket the real culprit has been found and the PSU breathes again!

Thus my modding is now back on track, starting today with the acquisition of a 500mm x 500mm piece of clear plexiglass bought dirt cheap as a cutoff from a local OBI store (OBI is the German equivalent of Homebase or B&Q) with which I will be carefully crafting a replacement side panel for my case :)

Pictures will be forthcoming as soon as I get started. If anyone has any suggestions or has any experience with doing something like this and you have any tips for things to avoid, please chime in and let me know :)

I love black and white themes. Thank you for the in progress shots, they are inspiring. My old computer is up for replacement and when it's shelved I'm going to use it as a guinea pig for a mod I have in mind (I'm always too hesitant to work on a brand new computer). In this case its a generic HP Pavillion and I want to see if I can turn it into something attractive.

Thank you for the nice comment, it's nice to know that something I'm doing might encourage others :) When it comes to cutting up cases and what not, I can't say I blame you for not wanting to go chopping up a brand new case, and if I'd thought about it I would probably have practiced on one of the older cases my wife has had laying around for years.

Try this when you start to cut the Plexi:

It will make things much cleaner ;)

Hey man, thanks for the tip :) Luckily we picked up a brand new Jigsaw for like, €30 today at the same place we got my Plexi, so the cutting itself is going quite well. I say quite well, because I did just have part of it crack and break off on me, which was very disheartening.

OP Updated. The modding continues! For now.

Now That's Something to be Proud of Mate .
Nice Work ,
I like the Handy Work Myself .
Good job .

PS : What's That Pad You're Using ,
I can See it Extends Under Both Mouse and Keyboard

Sorry for the late reply sindako, the pad is the DX-2000 from Perixx. I don't know where you are in the world, so I couldn't tell you if it is available where you are, but I got it here in Germany for around €15. On a side note, Vodafone should be kicked squarely in the balls for making my wife and I wait a full 6 days before they'll send someone out to fix our sodding phone line, and consequently our internet. DON'T GO VODA IN GERMANY!

Great looking rig sir Donut! Really liking the PSU cover. And what an upgrade on the side panel. Hat off for doing work on a windowsill in a basement :D. That's just ghetto mate :)
