Not really needed as killcam is on anybody camping is found easy! IMHO it is all part of the game those who like to sit back and snipe is their choice, personally I prefer the commando style and charging in, but to each their own. I can see it spurpose on small servers say 12 man with kill cam disabled else why would snipers cause that much a problem?

No such feature in stock COD4 this was added to COD UO I think, possibly COD but is not in COD4

Would not work on server #1 for sure tbh it doesnt work in the TDM based game at all as it is not really strategy based. But should definatually not be enabled on bigger servers people would be temp banned to often.

As above I have no clue what wombot is if you have information about it then post so I can look in to the cvar detection for it. mombot as already said cvars have been posted and method for kicking with its detection. However pb is not enabled on any of the servers afaik.
 
Just a suggestion here, as there seems to be quite a few admins and a lot of server regulars that have registered on the forums:

Why don't you see about setting up an OC3D irc room where you can all join. For those that don't know it's pretty much a chat room. You then have a have a client running in the background (Xchat is awesome) to view the room and uses next to no resources.

I don't know much about irc or coding etc, but is it possible to have an email address setup to report cod4hackers only and when someones sends an email to it, it will somehow show up as an alert in the irc room.

An Irc room would be a place for you to get to know each other a bit better too :cuddle:

Is our old channel still active? Gave up on IRC as i was the only person ever on it.
 
I thought OC3D had an irc channel on quakenet.

Just logged on and it seems to be up and with 11 people, noone is saying anything though? :S

i think its mrapoc who kicked a faker cheating and switching name every minutes, and unfortunately he was killing players when using my name while i played against him :S

now im permanently banned from TDM overclock server #1

Hey - i didnt ban/kick any1 - couldnt catch the bugger so i gave up

Do you have a legit key? - We have Pb enabled now

If this was last night were'nt me as I was givng temp bans purely for that reason.

If it was tonight not a clue but weve had pb up and running since the afternoon.

But usually these name changers have a 9^ before the name using modern rcon which Ive learnt so as soon as I see one now there gone (on a temp ban just incase.)
 
Coulda been me in all the mayhem if it isn't being caused by PB.. If so I'm happy for it to be released.. I tried to temp ban as much as possible but I did perm ban the blatent hackers. One did take your name but I thought it was slightly different so I banned.

Ive just tried to reconnect and it still doesnt work ,im using a copy game so i guess thats PB who kicked me.

Cool that u finally succeed to set pb on ur server, but that means i wont come back till i buy game ,but if it can help to clean server from cheaters , thats the most important.

(don't need pb to be on when playing clanwars , cuz recording is on ^^)

its surprising how many people play this game without actually owning it.I can understand people d/l a copy to try it out and see if they like it ( I've done it and its stopped me wasting money on some horrible games)but if after I have tried a game and i like it then i will go out and buy it,its not too difficult or expensive is it?

But sometimes it not the price. Well to me it is anyways hehe, my parents are so strict they don't buy me anything, hence why i have to find a way around this obstacle. However so far my version is working perfectly fine, so i'm not sure waht the other guys have been using. lol =]
 
Yeah that was cuz of the price , it was 80€ but now i can have it for 30 or 40 that's why im going to buy it.

And true nepas , copy games helped me to skip a lot of very bad games that were supposed to have a good gameplay and all the quality of a good game..(and i m not that rich)

P.S: i just come from oc3D tdm 24players server and there was another aimbot user :S

since 2 days i've seen like 5 aimbot users on the server most of the time on evening

And i've read that hax could go through punkbuster so pb isnt the solution too :S
 
PB will keep a lot of them out though. It also gives another level on which to try and ban with.

Much props to you for getting a legit copy. See you in game. Or more likely, not see you until its too late.

Did you catch the aimbotters name?
