thing hadnt been cleaned in about year or so, speedfan was idle at 91F and about 3000 rpms per fan now its idle at about 100F and fans are running at 1400..

Muuch faster and quieter what explains the extra heat it was sitting on tile floor now its elevated on a plastic box.. I thought that would make it cooler?

How didyou clean out the case? Didyou take everything out and re-assemble? You may not have plugged a fan in right or might have knocked a connection whilst cleaning.

straw to blow it off fans and sink and damp lysol thing which i used careful to clean around edges of inside of fans

disinfectant? I know sometimes p.c. gets a virus but it never crossed my mind to use a disinfectant :) well, my p.c. I never clean mine I let the dust to build-up in my p.c. it help absorb the heat and perhaps maybe the virus itself :worship:

There could be a number of causes as you details are sparce but given the data available I'd say TTL is on the money. You might want to think about wiring too as just because its clean don't mean its helping air flow.

Yeah, first thing I thought was the fan speed was really different, that would easily explain it no?

@Freak - my case has dust filters on intakes but it still gets in somehow! I don't use disinfectant however. A dry paintbrush and blowing it gets the bad stuff off, then you need compressed air.

Wilson, will you check thread dates for the love of god. You've just replied to a thread that's nine months old. It's not like you need to spam posts mate, just take a look at the date and perhaps check the status of the OP.

Thanks
