Cheap 8800 GTS 640mb

They have now put the price upto £500 !!!

Someone on another forum e-mailed them about it and got this reply:

Dear Customer

Thank you for contacting {the store}.

On looking into your query, we have checked our website and can

confirm that the item "Zotac nFire 8800GTS 640MB PCIE HDTV" is

listed at the price of 131.69 GBP from our ... retail

store.

Please rest assured that, you will be charged only the same price of

131.69 GBP as per our website.

Please note that we will not debit money from your bank account

until just before your items are dispatched. Your bank account is

charged approximately 24 hours after the items in your order have

entered the dispatch process.

If an order is sent out in more than one delivery, we will charge

only for those items that have been sent out, and you should find the

transaction recorded on your bank statement three days later or on

your next monthly statement.

Please note that whilst we aim to display the most accurate product

availability possible, occasionally products can go out of stock or

become out of print/discontinued.

When you place an order with us for a product we do not have in

stock (such as products where the availability on our product detail

page states that it is "usually dispatched within 4-6 weeks"), we

endeavour to source that product for you from our suppliers, and we

expect to be able to dispatch your order within that timeframe.

However, sometimes this is not possible if the product is no longer

available for purchase. We will inform you if the estimated time to

source the product is extended or if we are unable to source the

product at all.

So if you got your order in it sounds like you have grabbed a bargain !!!

Shoulda ordered one.

Scan has a leadtek 640mb for £214. Not as good as £140 but still good.

I ordered one for the £131 price, does that mean they'll honour it ?

BTW Amazon say they will email you and cancel the order then you have to order again if you still want it (but for £500, pfft). They won't charge the difference in price without contacting you first.

They have just obviously set it to that so they dont get anymore orders, as they wouldnt have wanted to take it off the site after people have placed orders as that would have worried people.

So at £500 they know no-one in the right mind will order so they can decide on a new price.

Thats my guess anyway ;)

Fingers crossed I get mine (probably wont tho :() haven't received a cancellation email yet though, maybe a good sign ? :p
