In the past months I have built my decent first gaming/editing pc and I'm very satisfied with it. Unfortunately, the cheap office chair that Im using gave up on me after long hours of gaming and now im using out kitchen chair at the moment and my bum is not very happy sitting on it. I've seen alot of people spending 100s of £££ upgrading their components etc etc but does anyone upgraded their seats? If they do what can you advice me to get. Pls no ikea stuff. I want a decent good, long lasting, comfortable chair. Something like you get what you paid for. Thanks very matz.

Im loving my DX Racer M series, big bulky chair in the shape of a racing seat, its fantastic but it also costs a bomb. I would recommend one any day.

I'm not sure if Dark_Night has experienced it, but with leather seats you tend to sweat more, specially during the hot summer days. Hence why I now a days, prefer cloth seats.

Such as this one from AKRacing:

But then, it's down to personal preference really :)

Yeah it isnt as ventilated as the chair's i had before, but when its 30 degrees inside your room in the middle of summer it doesnt really matter where you sit, its all going to be sticky.

That is true, although you gotta admit that leather sticks a lot more than leather.

In my eyes, your seats side thingys, doesn't seem to be "punched out" as much as the ones in my picture. As those give support in turns, when you sit in a car.
Do they give nice support still or?... hope you understand what I mean though :p

I can feel them when im sitting absolutely straight in the chair, but its not like they are going to counter geforces from turning xD

And yeah leather is more sticky, but a 50 quid cheap leather chair will be far worse then this is.

About 2 years ago, I was looking for a racing car seat, chair, and at the time there wasn't that many to choose from, they were either silly money around £3-£400, or EBay specials for about £80. But after a lot of searching I came across FK Automotive, in Germany, and at the time they had 1 model, in different colour panels, and stitching, they were £175, to me still a bit pricey, for an office chair, but I thought sod it, I sit there about 8ish hours a day, and deserve something comfy to sit on. It came to the UK within 4 days, and was the best investment ever, it makes all other chairs, feel like sitting on a park bench.

I'll get to the point now, so last week, I forgot I had a screwdriver in my back pocket, and when I got up, it tore into, the side of the chair, making a nice big gash about 3 inches long, it done a great job, of it to be fair.

So I went about Google' ing, " FK Automotive chairs " Only to find they have a huge range of about 50 or so, in different styles, colours, and materials, and their prices are great, starting at £50 ranging up to £180. I can't vouch for the lower end models, but if they are anything like mine the " Detroit in black with red stitching" none of them should disappoint.
