Case for new Air rig?

I have to have 120mm fans - 80mm units are too noisey and move less air, for an air cooling rig you have to have them on full blast - especially with the kit you got.

Dont get me wrong the lian li is a great case and I am sureyou will not be disappointed - just my preference for air coolign is max airflow with the lowest noise.

I guess you could always mount a 120mm fan in the roof of the unit with a stylish grill on the outside to keep it looking slick??

It's Silver.

There is room for another 80mm at the back i think. the only thing that put me off, was 80mm fans, but on medium they should be fine.

I don't wanna start modding such a nice case to early.

There isn't enough room to cut a 120mm exhaust hole in the rear of the 65 I don't think.

You can however, if you wish, cut an additional 80mm exhaust beneath the existing 80mm exhaust.

You can mod the PC7 Plus though, so it has 2 x 120mm case fans.... I believe

Although the PC7 doesn't have a removeable motherboard tray, and the overall feel of the case isn't as good as the original PC65. And even the hard drive cage is cheap and flimsy.... no thumbscrews either.

I do like these classic cases, but I'm more into the new lot from Lian-Li, I love their approach with the V1000 and V2000. Try and beat the air flow on one of em! :)

hmmm, anodise V1000...

Pretty hard to anodise a v1000, due to the mesh style front end.

Yep, an 80mm fan will fit perfectly at the back. ive replaced the stock fans with my LED fans, the stock fans look good quality though, shame ive got so many fans now, lol.

The build quality is excellent and the finish of the aluminium is brilliant. Really pleased with it.

you still have to prepare the surface before you can anodise, imagine prepping all those holes, fook that

With the V series I'm not sure all the panels are removeable therefore I think its difficult/impossible to anodise.

This case is totally growing on me.

Thanks to mike for telling me to get one. :D

I do like the design of teh lain li v-series - how the hell do I fit me mach unit to it?

I have seen a few V2000's with the mach installed on the modded base, although teh weight is an issue if you transport.

The thing that worries me about the new BTX standard is how do we fit the Prommies?

I'll take some photos of mine in a bit, as people seem to be a bit stumped about fitting the prommies in them...
