Hey guys, ill be putting together these components and iam looking for a really nice looking case, with good airflow, thats al, and either with a front door, or the abilty to cover biege drives.

Parts:

4400+ X2

Asus nforce 4 ultra

7800GTX

WD Raptor 74Gb + WD 160GB

2Gb ram

OCZ 520Watt PSU

Thermalright XP90C

I will also be installing a 5.25Inch drive bay fan controller.

Now ive been 99% cert on getting a Lian Li PC65 USB. it loos great, etc, etc, but the lian Li PC6070 has caught my eye. It really does look gorgeous i think, and has a front door, should produce less noise.

I will replace 80mm with my own Coolermster 80mm LED ones and have em on the fan controller, if they need to be.

reading a review, they don't really seem that different, and the 65 is cheaper, with an extra blowhole in the roof, and a side window, it just lacks the door, and the better look of the 6070.

So what you guys think?

EDIT- The akaska eclipse 62 also looks pretty cool, but i don't want black.

Hmmmm, you think i just get it to be different lol?

I wonder if you can take off the roof? Might cut a blowhole in the roof.

Still leaning towards the PC-65.

Anything with 120mm fan holes instead of 80's. Makes the fans less whiney and pushes more air whilst being quieter.

Akasa eclipse is thee case to have for air cooling imho due to its versatility

CM 110 in custom green I would say oh an I just happen to have one for sale :)

Well i couldn't find it last time, and i don't want green, lo.

I already have a TJ05, well did have.

The PC-65 it is.

Might I suggest the ANTEC P160 or P180?

P180 has new thermal dynamics and BTX layout.

P160 great looking case, 2x120mm cooling fan ports (ultra quiet, good airflow) and enough room even for SLI. CD and floppy bezels so you can hide all your beige - even comes with thermal probes for temp reading - tehre is a review at CustomPC

My P160 has been my Trusty Silver Stead for over 12months now - it's the oldest piece of hardware I have!!

Actually it's not - the floppy drive I have was purchased in 1997!

I have to say i am a fan of the Antec P series. Ive got a PC65 like everyone else and have to say it is a great case, quality construction and looks good.

Savrow sell the Akasa Eclipse as the SR-71, they also can do special paint jobs, with pretty much any paint you want. They even do cromatic paints but its very expensive

Good choice

Just get Phil to anodise it now, for an individual PC65

Im thinking of cutting out the back grill, as it looks horrible and will restrict flow as usual. really anoying when they do that, just use a nice proper fan grill for gods sake.

Can you take the case apart easily? i.e can i remove the whole back panel? or maybe i could cut a 120mm whole there?

removing rear grill is seconds work with tinsnips, dremel or jigsaw

adding a 120mm fan is possible tho you will have to check the dimensions of th area of metal you will ahve to work with

edit: im sure the pc65 has a mobo tray

Im pretty sure the 120mm fan thing is fine, i looked at it myself but couldnt be bothered in the end.

The PC65 does have a motherboard tray.
