i built a silent gaming pc

i had two fans, front & rear

the fans are connected to motherboard (mobo only has 2 fan headers)

i want to add a third fan on front and how do i connect it plus is has to be controlled from the bios

and can i use a blue y splitter that came with my NH-D14 and connect two front fans to one header

Connecting the Noctua:- Two fans into the supplied splitter and connect this to your motherboard header - so 2 fans off the cpu header on your motherboard. From your other thread you have a 4 pin cpu header, so the fans will run at full speed. If this is too noisy for you, you need to use the 2 fan speed reducers supplied with your Noctua - these need to be placed before the splitter. From memory you have a blue one and a black one, but you need to read the supplied instructions as one is for the 140mm fan and the other is for the 120mm fan.

If you add a fan on the front, don't bother connecting it to the motherboard, just power it off of a molex. Most decent fans come with a 4 pin molex to 3 pin fan header converter. Using this method though will result in it running at 12v. If you want it at a lower rpm then you'll again need to use a fan speed reducer or get a fan controller.

Hope this helps.
