Car photos/discussion thread

but i've seen 2004 volkswagen golfs (5door) going for about £1,500 with about 150k on the clock is that good or bad or should i be looking to pay a bit more? Talking to people ive got mixed messages some say avoid the car cos thats too low a price other say its good price.

If you shop around you can pick up petrol Mk4 golfs with 1.6 engines that have done under 100k miles. They'll go on for a good while, only issue is gearboxes. The only golfs worth getting with 100k+ miles on are the Diesels, as they'll go on and on and on but they tend to be junk at the price you're looking at. Oh and the only Diesel golfs that are worth getting are the GT TDI ones. The basic Mk4 diesel does an excellent tractor impression and the insurance is dreadful as it is a 1.9L.

I'd look at a 1.6SXI corsa.

cheers guys, i will go and check the vehicles and tbh they will hopefully dif cars to what im seeing now lol cos it will be 6 months from now lol.
Are the petrols really that bad?

If they've got full history and a recent major service then they'd probs be fine, its just seems to be that they don't have any history when they've done that much mileage.

So just sold the Skyline, watched it be driven onto a trailer with another man behind her breaks my heart :(

Im so upset actually want to cry

I wish my skyline would sell... LOL

It's been for sale for a few months now, but seems that people don't want to pay my asking price... is £6k really too much for a 448hp beast?!

I have my replacement now and so the Skyline's just sitting here.... don't get me wrong, it's still being used... but I really want to make a start on my new car project!

Cheers.... the problem I have is there are so many for sale over here, and people would rather pay peanuts for one that's been abused and had cheap parts installed, than decent examples with quality parts fitted. Just the way it is at the minute.

I may put her back to stock and sell the performance parts separately.
